I hope somebody does test-drive the new palio 1.6 and could give inputs on how it compares with the old palio 1.6

FE figures should be better for the new 1.6 with all the talk of weight reduction, but is it a lesser/better car than the old 1.6 don't know.

It's a fact that fans of the old 1.6 aren't too happy with the new design, going by some of the posts here and elsewhere.

Some folks at PUG/FCI had gone on a Test Drive of all the variants at B.U.Bhandari, Pune on Saturday (21st). I am not sure if they were able to lay their hands on the 1.6, though...
Has anyone been there and done that?? If so, can you share your impressions with us

Pretty valid reasoning.

I am not sure whether this is a sarcastic comment, possibly a hangover from the Fiat vs Others spat on another thread which got locked. Hint keywords : "built like a tank", "substantiate that statement" etc.

However, if it is indeed a serious query for facts/data, finney you know how much info is available on the forum regarding FE of the 1.6. Heck, I have only last week or so quoted a bunch of user testimonies regarding FE. And you were there on the thread too, if I remember right. Dont see the need to quote them again here.

Yes, the Ozone blue. That was the color of the car in the advt. in the Deccan Chronicle. I liked the looks of the car from the front (the rear was not shown in the advt., except for a small pic of the new rear light cluster).

1.6 not yet available for TD

Shaman Mumbai promised me 1.6 TD on Sat 21st, waited till evening for the call. Finally called the sales guy who promised me TD on 1.6. He had forgotten to call!!. What attitude! He said that 1.6 will not be available immediately for TD. He suggested I take TD on 1.1 as both cars mechanically same. Got fed up and hungup.

Cartech, I guess one of the BHPians in Mumbai owning a 1.6 (Moralfibre, Roms, Firebird etc) can help you out with a test drive!

Mumbai BHPians, please raise your hands!

Production of Stile models is in full steam since last 2 - 3 weeks at the new factory at Rajnandgaon, due to low demand of Stile 1.6, it will be made & delivered on order basis!
Hope this clarifies!
