What is the future of Ambassador?????
the question should be : Does Ambassador have a future?
As i feel, it does not even have a present, only past.

HM is most incompetent automobile manufacturer in our country. I sincerely hope some company with brains aquire HM and stop the production of this awful car. Ambassador is a disgrace even to the museum, let alone the roads.

The only good thing about the Amby is its rear-seat comfort, leg-room and head-room. It is not a drivers car.

I dont care much for the nostalgia factor associated with the Ambassador - nostalgia is something you feel for good memories, not bad ones. For me all Ambassadors (okay old man, except yours) should be forced off the roads because they are an impediment to other traffic. Amby drivers insist on hugging the fast lane (where available) or sticking to the middle of the road (where multiple lanes are not available) in order to try and overtake something ahead of them that is so obviously faster and more nimble. Unfortunately the 'vehicle fitness test' in India is such a sham - all you need is a shiny coat of paint to pass the 'test' and in some places even that is not required.

Most of them have malfunctioning brakes, leaky engines and worn out clutches. Feeling all warm and fuzzy about these things is fine when you're typing out words on the PC, but how many of you havent cursed that stupid cabbie up ahead who blurs your vision with his thick black smoke and hogs the road while planning an overtake manouvre on a truck that is only slightly faster than him?

I hate Ambys on the road. BAN THEM. Put them up on a pedestal and decorate street junctions if you want, but dont let them run on the road. They are a menace.

IMO if they increase their quality, make a proper Ambassador with an awesome paint-job and good luxurious interiors, make it limited and price it well, they may have good response. Just like how the Bullets had it. Make a "Classic" car.

And the only way this can happen is by collaborating with some other company who is also interested in the project.

The military personnel will love it, so will some civilians

the worst thing in ambassador is its bootspace.
they never wished to change its style.
it is huge no doubt, but not of any practical use.

and hey whats the turning radius of an amby?!

Well said! And along with the Amby, there's a whole lot of other cars, some of which are considered luxurious, which I would like to see booted out.

I was being sarcastic. What I meant to say was that if the Amby should go, there are many other cars which, I feel, have no place on our roads either. I won't mention any names because that'll only lead to another fight.
As you said
