Spoke to sales executive at Mandovi motors in bangalore, he said the waiting period for the ZDI to be 3-4 months and the price to be upwards of 7.5l OTR bangalore. ZXI he said would be 7l OTR bangalore and waiting of 2-3 months.

The ex showroom should be somewhere around 6.4 is what I guess. Current VDi goes for 5.4, add 30K increase to it and another 70K for the ZDi. 7L OTR still seems to be possible except Bangy.

Friends, what would be the ideal upgrade for new swift tyres,, the stock ones being 185/65/15 MRF as reported in this forum considering better grip & good ride comfort. Will 205/55/15 be too bone jarring hard ride?? Any inputs ...?

The official pics suggest a very grown up styling. Maybe a good direction but I can't imagine a spoiler attached to it! Roughly 30% of swifts I've seen on road are kitted out one way or another. Have my reservations on such mods for the new one though. Then again I may be proven wrong when seen in flesh.

It's 55 percent of 205, which is only bit less than 65 percent of 185.

Why do you want to upgrade.
185/65 R15 is perfect for the kind of power Swift generates.
It really does not need any upgrade but better quality rubber than the stock MRF's will certainly help.

205 section is not required at all...it is an overkill. (205 section makes sense for something like a Civic with 130 horses under the hood).
It will drag down the FE, give a harsher ride, plus you loose the warranty on suspension and related stuff.

So my advise is to avoid it unless you want the wannabe BOY Racer kinda look. If you need better grip, switch to Michelins or Yokos of the same size - will improve the handling, ride, noise without compromising on the FE or affecting your warranty.

True. 185/65 R15 is more than enough for the kind of power Swift generates. But because it is a very uncommon size, the options with better quality rubber are limited.

However, 195/60 R15 will be a very good upgrade. Not too wide and almost the same wall height. And most importantly, a lot of upgrade options available.

One common thing all press reviews state is the interior quality. All of them say that the interiors are good. Looks like Maruti has taken the bad interiors/rattles complaints from the customers seriously.

I hope you are right however good interiors do not necessarily mean lesser rattles. The interior quality seems to have improved but has the build quality gone up too? None of the reviews talk about build quality and hence we would have to wait for the T-BHP review or until the car is launched.
