The Jazz is for my wifee! She is chauffeured to work at Tambaram now and she is looking forward to driving to work on her own and still learning. The good all-around visibility in the Jazz gave her some confidence that she could easily drive the Jazz and ofcourse the spacious interiors and amazing build quality impressed us a lot.

We did check out the New Swift too right after the Jazz. The interiors were impressive and exterior finish is also good. But, the rear seats are cramped like before and felt more claustrophobic than the earlier Swift. The boot space on diet and the high loading point makes the boot space completely useless. I guess it’s going to be a tight fit even if one has to mount a 12" sub with enclosure in the boot! And the loooooooong waiting period forced us to decide against the Swift.

The 1.6 stays and am waiting for a good upgrade to a diesel sedan!

Congrats Keyank, if the car has been shipped on 5th, you should expect it to be at their Hosur Road yard today / tomorrow. It generally takes about a week. Unless they come back and tell you the truck had a break-down / it went to some other dealership in Chennai by mistake and is now being re-routed to us!! These are some of their choice explanations for delay in transit.

did some arm twisting at the Honda technical centre in Chennai and got a vehicle billed to the dealer.
Vehicle was billed on 3rd sep and hopefully should have been loaded on 5th sep, under transit.

Hi, the brochure for the New Jazz has a picture of an ipod connected to the music system via the USB port (the picture shows an ipod connected via the white ipod cable to another black cable that connects to the system). Does this mean that the Music system on the Jazz is "Ipod ready" or will the ipod be treated as any other USB device?

Not only can you now connect your iPod, you can also connect any flash-drive with music, to play your music on the drive. Not just that, one can now get a Bluetooth adapter, sync your phone and play music via wireless Bluetooth streaming.

I need to find out more about the Bluetooth adapter and where we can acquire it from for our Jazz.

No the new Jazz is not ipod ready as far as I understand. The system will treat your ipod as any other USB device.
But that's so uch better than having no USB!

It is very much ipod ready,I tried it on my ipod and could easily change playlists and tracks.

Update: Was told my Jazz X should reach the dealer this week and if that happens i'll be able to take delivery sometime next week! Super excited already
