1997: Premier Padmini 66k on the odo and still mechanically good. bought as second hand. just making up my mind to sell. made lot of long trips Mumbai to Madurai while the construction of NH4 was on.
2009: Hyundai i10 16600 kms. done many long trips. working fine and no problems.

Going strong with 25000 on the Odo

Zen type 1 Jan 2001 done 175000km thus far, the last 1 lac being after LPG conversion. Definitely looking for an upgrade but both heart and brains against selling this one!

Hi

I bought the Swift VDi in October 2008 and till date has done 62000kms.

I dont plan to sell it till it completes 5 years in Oct/2013 and also might have it little longer than 2013 if it is trouble free.

Mileage till date- 57,000.

Still with us, though the car has started giving suspension and steering related problems. No plans to sell it

Car2- Hyundai i gen i20 petrol.
Date of purchase-July 2012
Mileage till date-6300 kms

No plans to sell this either!

2. How long did you keep it - in years and in mileage?
3 yrs, 38000 kms 3. Top 3 reasons why you sold it - Needed a diesel hatchback urgently due to job change so the only reason why I had to sell it.

3) Maruti Ritz (2010 - Present)

1. What was your car make & model and month & year of purchase?
Maruti Ritz VDi

2. How long did you keep it - in years and in mileage?
1 yr 10 months, 71000 kms Still have it and plan to keep it for a while.

Bought in 2007
Sold in 2010
KM reading: approx 24K
Reason for selling: a. Loan was over
b. wanted a diesel car

2. Ford Figo Titanium TDCi
Bought in 2010
Sold in 2012
KM reading: 40K
Reason for selling:
1. Was facing issues with the car.
2. Want somthing even smaller which my father and wife can drive easily in city traffic
3. Got a very tempting deal on the car.

Have 2004 Santro, just less than 8 yrs old (bought in Dec).

Its at just 1.07 Lac kms.

No intention of selling it yet. Very practical and peppy drive with good squeezing capability through tough traffic.

Want to take it through 3L kms before I think of selling it.

Need a bigger car by end 2013 due to growing family with parents staying together. However will keep the cute Spark for city drives (provided petrol is not 120 Rs per litre) Planning to buy a Diesel mini SUV / C2 sedan and am curious what the market has to offer in 2014 since these 2 are the hottest segments nowadays.

Indica Xeta - Aug 2006 - 45k KMs on the clock
I am enjoying every bit of driving this car. No issues at all in the last 6+ years. Only two capital expenses once for battery replacement and then for tire replacement.
Avg annual maintenance ~5k - that's for regular six monthly servicing and nothing else.
Undecided if I would sell it even when I go for new car.

It's a fill it shut it forget it experience for me - not sure why people on this forum crib about Tata or is it just a mass hysteria.

I had an Amby (used car, 1971) which I used for 11 years ( 1997 to 2008).
I used Bolero for 9 years (July 2002 - August 2011 )
Tata Indica 4 years ( used car 2002, Dec, 2007 to Feb, 2012)
My Kawasaki Bajaj 4S did 15 years service (Oct, 1993 to Oct, 2008).

Now own a Pulsar 150 (October, 2008), Omni ( October, 2011), Santro(February, 2012)

I do not change vehicles often, as is obvious from above list.
