Re: 2013 Maruti WagonR Facelift

Suzuki sure knows how to sell the hatchbacks. Obviously they are not targeting the average T-Bhp user with this car - the target is the first time buyer who values space, low running costs, good service and a decent resale value. Suzuki small cars check all those boxes. No wonder the chaps have a >40% market share.

Re: 2013 Maruti WagonR Facelift

Perhaps this was the reason why Maruti launched the Wagon R Pro - Stock Clearance sale!

Re: 2013 Maruti WagonR Facelift

WR LX : Rs 3.58 lakh
WR LXI : Rs 3.88 lakh
WR LXI CNG : Rs 4.42 lakh
WR VXI : Rs 4.13 lakh

All prices are ex-showroom Delhi figures.

Maruti claims that the fuel economy of the 2013 WagonR has been improved 8% over the current 18.9KMPL to 20.51 KMPL!

Re: 2013 Maruti WagonR Facelift

Saw a notice by Sai Service, yesterday wherein a Wagon R Minor is mentioned. is it the unsold ones getting cleared in the wake of the launch of the face-lifted one?

Saw this on the Maruti Suzuki Wagon-R website. A CHEVY LOGO . This is CRIMINAL!!!

GM Chevrolet should sue MSIL for this :P

Like the bumper and the airdam. The grille could be better though. I prefer the old black/ grey interior. Wondering whether MSIL did something to address the low end drivability of the K10 in the WagonR.

Baffling! That's the previous generation WagonR. Maybe a mix up while selecting the photos.

Hm... the same company may have designed those two sites but forgot to edit it correctly, or, this one may be a straight lift from the Chevy site and then edited improperly! Shame on you, Maruti!

Re: 2013 Maruti WagonR Facelift

Did the earlier WagonR have reclining rear seats? The new one seems to have that one which I think is a very good move. It also talks about better mileage and wider tyres! Seems like its hitting quite a few ticks for a perfect city car!

Yes I called the guy whose number is indicated in the notice and agrees to the mix up of the picture but insists that the name of the model is Minor ans he got oit from his SM.

Unlikely, since there is no mention of it anywhere in the article and reclining is not possible with parcel tray in place. Also, wider tyres are also just for the picture. There should be a fineprint somewhere on the page.

Just saw the newspaper ad showing the new storage space in the dash. Is it in place of the passenger airbag? If so, won't the contents cause safety hazards in case of airbag deployment?

Looks like there was a version called Minor in 2006 (may be just like the celebration edition in SX4). I think they missed to edit the pic and name while designing this notice.

The airbag door is located on the top panel of the dash so it is situated out of the way of the storage space.

Re: 2013 Maruti WagonR Facelift

The new re-design looks good. Gives the car a more mature look IMO. The interiors, if executed properly, should give the cabin a more airy look if nothing else. The earlier model tended to be a tad claustrophobic. Of course, thanks to the SC ruling all cars now look airy-er (?) inside!

With alloys and wider after-market tyres, this blue-eyed boy would look really handsome.

Re: 2013 Maruti WagonR Facelift

Does the WagonR come with passenger airbag ? Its website seems to list only SRS Driver Airbag as an option. See here: http://www.marutiwagonr.com/

EDIT: Even the Estilo seems to come with only Driver Side SRS Airbag: http://www.marutisuzukiestilo.com/
