Senior - BHPian ![]() | ![]() Side profile looks more European than Korean 'fluidic', which is ![]() I hope the front too looks European. And no way its i20 sedan or compact sedan! Check this out. Pic courtsey: CocheSpias |

| ![]() There are a few notable Kia design influences that have been put to liberal use in this new i20, which definitely looks matured and characterful. |

| ![]() This was expected after KIA’s design head Peter Schreyer got realigned as the design head for both the brands (KIA and Hyundai) earlier this year. The upcoming Hyundai models may get a bit less fluidic. |

| ![]() Here is another rendering of the 2014 Hyundai i20. The car looks more boxy now. Personally I did not like it. Source:- Wheelosphere |

| ![]() Now apart from all this, if they only come out with a car with sorted high-speed driving dynamics, that alone would make the Hyundai i20 complete! |

![]() I quite like the new design. Looks a lot more aggressive and a tad sleeker as well.

| ![]() The blackened C-pillar is a nice touch. When is the launch expected? Not anytime soon in India I guess? |

| ![]() Hyundai has tried it's best to infuse 'fluidity' across all of it's range and while I admire the new design philosophy, I'm not much of a fan of it sans the Elantra. The rendering above looks too cluttered at the front and back while being too clean at the sides. IMHO, even if both ends are proportionate, they don't seem to compliment each other in a linear way. |

| ![]() I hope the new Hyundai i20 has the automatic gearbox offered in the Asta variant and that they offered 6/7 tiptronic transmission! |

| ![]() The new design is good. Features will be packed to the brim. But Hyundai please do not keep the same 1.2 ltr under powered engine for this car. The 1.4 ltr 100 BHP (That comes with Auto i20) will be good option for this size of car. |

| ![]() The current i20 is almost 4m long. The Thick C-pillar in the test vehicle, and renderings, give me an impression that the car will be over 4m. Why would Hyundai do that?! Or, is it going to hit India at all?! |

It might be a nightmare for an average driver to have such thick C pillars since it would create huge blind spots for people who don't rely on ORVMs. Most drivers in India don't rely on both the ORVMs while driving.

| ![]() I wonder if it will remain as spacious in terms of head room as the current car given the chop it gets near the C-Pillar. Sharper front end is ok i guess but somehow don't like the new rear much. It definitely reminds me of the Liva hatch! +1 to that. |
