| ![]() Wow, the pricing looks really good. Will surely make a dent in the sales of Duster et al. |

I would buy the Jeep Renegade like a shot, if it comes in at a fair price - it would be the perfect replacement for my Yeti. All Ive ever wanted is a stout hearted, reliable, go anywhere anytime sort of vehicle, with plenty of safety kit, features which can handle most sorts of terrain and compact enough to use in the city as a daily driver. In keeping with my personal "one family - one car" philosophy, I would always pick a well designed, first class all terrain vehicle with proven credentials and a certain appeal, over just mere features and "butch looks". In fact I will happily eschew "butch looks" and cosmetics, for functionality + comfort + safety. To me, this is the perfect aspirational vehicle as per my own personal needs. I just hope the pricing is fair. 12 lacs to 17 lacs (on road) would be just about right. Solidly plonked in Yeti's erstwhile pricing territory and a whole lot more in terms of ability than the Yeti which is no mean performer itself! ![]()

A Jeep Renegade for 10 Lakhs in 2017, almost in close range to a Thar CRDe. If done, the pricing will kill the competition in one go. IMO will be very pleasantly surprised if it is priced anywhere lower than 20 L tag. Last edited by nkghai : 18th March 2016 at 12:25.

Yes I agree that the pricing quoted by Malayala Manorama is too fanciful for this vehicle especially in its top spec avatar. In fact in one of my earlier posts on this thread I was thinking / speculating that a fair price for this kind of vehicle will be close to the Yeti's pricing. For sure it will have to be in the 25-27L range. It has to be higher than Hyundai's IX35 (New Tucson) and possibly lower than the Santa Fe.

| ![]() Car and bike (CnB) has caught the camouflaged Renegade again. If they are to be believed, a sub 20 lakh pricing is indeed on the cards. But, if FIAT manages to price it around the 13-15 lakhs mark, a lot of the current crop of SUVs will feel the heat. Aah, only if FIAT brings it out fast now. | ![]() Today's Hindu has an article on the Jeep Renegade. Prices for the Renegade are likely to start at around Rs. 11 lakh. More here: http://www.thehindu.com/todays-paper...cle8472678.ece |

I'm not sure how big a hit its going to be even with everything going good for it (barring the price) simply because in India, real estate matters when you are parting with large sums of money.

Still, I feel 11 lakh starting price is a little ambitious unless Jeep takes the CKD route.

BANNED | ![]() Top spec at about 27- 30 lacs On Road, will probably be the rough pricing of this vehicle when it finally launches in India - if they use the SKD or even CKD route. And I would seriously consider this vehicle at the above price. If it comes with all the bells and whistles in the Top Spec then it is a worthy upgrade from the Yeti. |
