I like everything except the rear and the tall stance.

Why oh why are all the new hatches going the "tall-boy" way? :( I hate high-roofed hatches! With the SX-4, it looks like even the sedans are going the tall-boy way.

Blame the laws that limits the length and breadth of a car for tax soaps.

The only way manufacturers can liberate space inside these days is to efficiently use the height to their advantage.

What if the Agila comes as the next gen Spark from the GM stable. We d have two same cars (Agila and Splash) from two different manufacturers.

Rest assured it won't. GM has more or less made up its mind now to launch all the korean cars in its armoury under the Chevy brand. This trick is working the best for them and they are not going to change that in a hurry. Anyhow the Spark has recently been spruced up by GM. So I do not see an upgrade anytime in the next 3 years at least. Also, I suspect GM won't be able to keep the costs of a non-korean car low enough to compete effectively in the hatch segment.

Moreover, depending on who brings the car first the other won't. India won't be able to sustain two similar hatches with different badges. Its anybody's guess but if that happens then my guess is GM will perish.

Totally. The rear is quirky, but that wont stop it from being a hit. Looks like Suzuki are out to revamp their entire small car (and engines) portfolio.

Toyota Yaris, Honda Jazz/Fit, Skoda Fabia, Fiat Punto and this Updated Suzuki WagonR will provide a good variety for Indian Car lovers, especially in the 4 to 5 lakh budget.

Dont you think the Zen Estilo plays that role to some extent. And besides, the Splash looks too upmarket and modern to be placed "between" Alto and WagonR. If anything, it might just be placed in the entry level Swift territory, if it does not replace the WagonR.

'SUZUKI CERVO' looks too cool to replace M800. IMO looks better than even SWIFT. Hope they launch this car soon at a very competitive price.

There will be further rationalisation across the lower segments as soon as the famous 1 lakh car is out. So it will be helpful to think in terms of where these products (Cervo and Splash) will fit in based on the segmentation applicable then than now.

Well if this is the new wagon R and also having looked at spy pics of the new Santro then i dont think we need B+ seg cars like the swift and Getz.

Especially i think Swift would feel the pinch bcoz although categorized as B+ it doesnt have that kind of space nor comfort. Yes but must admit that its driveability is excellent.

Any comments guys ???
