Without a 120bhp version, I would go straight to Petes for the 1.3 90bhp MJD. Can't wait. Every last few days of wait become more painful

Okay everyone I got the information from a very reliable source that the launch will be on 23rd ,yes i got the information from our company Driver .
He seemed to be the most well informed person in the company even well informed than my Sales Manager.. Because he over hears all the conversation the GM makes over the phone.

Don't have even a clue about the car's specs will try to post from Mumbai or will sent Zak/JayD the specs via sms they will post it for me. don't have GPRS on my phone.

Don't want to put my job at stake , 2 months back a friend of mine lost his job at Toyota for posting the Altis's pics/Specs in his orkut Gallery before the car was launched .

Funny! Fiat & Tata going to Suzuki to procure the 75bhp diesel

Its the other way round pal!

I did hear some rumors that Fiat had sued Maruti for plonking the 1.3 DDiS on the Dzire where the engine was licensed by Fiat for use only with Swift! Is this true?!

At last some confirmed date

Thanks a lot muneemmk. Can't wait to get the spec details. They should be of more interest than the pricing

That is a reliable source – this is like officers of some intelligence agency travelling for a highly secretive mission – the officers won’t be where they are going but the drivers knows

Yes – do not risk your job; get Zak or someone to post the info.

NO, in India it was Suzuki that had started the production of that diesel motor.

No, no one had sued anyone. Suzuki always has produced under license.
Suzuki can use it in as many places as it likes.
I am more concerned about the SX4 getting the 90bhp diesel now.

SX4 cant get the 90bhp diesel from Fiat as Maruti's contract with Fiat is only for the 75bhp one. Also Fiat would not like SX4 to get that engine and compete with Linea.

I saw a totally un camaflouged Linea this afternoon on Marine drive.
It had been stopped by the traffic cops outside the Air India building for jumping a red light.

I dont remember clearly but I think the car had temporary registration plates (red letters on yellow) and not the trade plates we have been seeing on cars so far.

Any definite source on these lines that Fiat & Tata wanted to procure the diesel heart from Suzuki!

Since i miss the logic as Fiat who owns the engine going to Suzuki for the procurement!

No offences pal!

While I have also not heard of Fiat asking for MJD engines from Maruti Suzuki, the only reason if they really asked would be to avoid the import duty and thus procure locally manufactured engine from Suzuki.

Yeah. Everyone knows that MJD is from Fiat. That is a different point altogether.

::ITALIASPEED::

Look at this link. It is not FIAT and TATA procuring the multijet engine from Maruti, it was a proposal to build multijet in alliance with Suzuki to keep costs down for sharing of costs. But suzuki refused and they started building the multijet engine through Maruti. That is what Ratan tata said..

Boss, your job is much more important than any T-BHP scoop.

In fact, to be on the safer side, please DO NOT post about you sending an sms to someone to post on your behalf. You never know who is reading.

But, thanks for the efforts and thoughts
