I am currently at the service center servicing my XUV,10k km service. Had a chance to look at the new facelift XUV.
I must say, the rear profile looks quite decent, not as bad as the pics online. It looks more like Terrano from behind due to the tailight design or a more minivan-ish

The front doesn't really look that different, infact the headlight is same as the one on facelift one except the replacement of the parking light for the DRL. You could actually swap out the old headlight design for the new( according to a technician checking out the car). Have not seen the DRL in action but hopefully it isn't dimm like the past two versions.

The interiors are the same to look at except the extra leather on the dash... Overall an okayish facelift, hopefully the price isn't increased alot. I guess this is the last mini facelift before the complete new generation is released.

The new Prices are revealed. Current W4 Ex-Showroom Price in Vadodara is 12.72 and that for Mumbai is approx. ~12.7 to my best guesstimate.
Not sure what are feature addition/deletion (if any) in W5 as compared to W4.

Looks plush from this angle.

There's new Arkamy's enhanced audio system as well from France, featuring in the W7 variant & above.

No prices for AWD?? or did i miss something?

Excellent pricing to be honest and looks way too better now in those dark shades:thumbs up

Clever, very clever pricing, to keep the Hexa at bay. As I can see, it starts at a price lower than what the outgoing was, had it started with 13.xx, there would have been many takers for the Hexa over this.

Zigwheels review is out!

Most welcome. The Nippon Audio system was far below par.

Two new colors in XUV.

I was not quite a fan of the new design, but in this video - the car looks cool. Loved this color as well. Waiting to see the pic of one with the new Red color.

Except for the overdosed chrome along the fog lamps - everything is perfect right in the front. Waiting for a more clearer pic with the DRL as well.

The rear, in this color (and this video) looks stunning .

The enhanced audio system is a most welcome change. The Nippon needed some air.

AWD comes optional with the W11(O).

Quick comparison of the prices (Ex Showroom)

Tata Hexa Mahindra XUV5OO

XT 4x2 - 16.6L W11 FWD 16.43L, W9 FWD 15.23L

XTA 4x2 - 17.74L W11 FWD AT 17.63L, W9 FWD AT 16.43L

XT 4x4 - 17.91L W11(O) AWD 16.68L, W11 (O) AWD AT 17.88L

Massive undercutting by XUV5OO prices. This for sure is going to dent Hexa's numbers, as XUV5OO 's variants have better equipment and feature list than Tata Hexa. Tata Hexa would only outshine XUV5OO in terms of road manners and cabin space.

Perhaps this pricing will allow Mahindra to launch it's Innova competitor at a price bracket higher than XUV5OO but still massively undercutting Innova.

Also, wouldn't these prices hurt the sales of Scorpio? But then Scorpio may be targeted more towards rural and semi-urban markets.

Am I reading it right? Are you saying Mahindra can price the U321 MPV higher than XUV? It will be a flop from day 1 then, IMO. They have to price it from around 9-10L and replace the Xylo. There is a huge void of stylish good personal MPVs between Ertiga and Crysta. Mahindra can easily fill that with U321.

That's just a guess I made, and if Mahindra prices the MPV at 9-10L, they are not essentially competing with Innova. BTW, Xylo's price range rests in 11L-14.63L (Ex-showroom)

Looks like all diesel variants will be offered with 155HP tune against earlier reports. Good move by Mahindra. This update should see a lot of Hexa buyers switching back to XUV! Rich interiors, powerful engine, nimble handling, better Fuel efficiency, more features and to top it all cheaper sticker price! XUV is back in business.
