Mods is it possible to make this thread sticky, I thought a sticky thread is required to track a real picture of what people thinks about ABS and Airbags.

Airbags ...are ok for me (if cost is low)...but I dont want ABS on my car(even if its free). Its just waste of money for me.

Well it’s my personal point of view...But if you insist...I feel that if we need to use hard breaking just not pressing clutch is enough to ensure that car does not skid. If I am at a speed of 140 and need to break hard I will simply press break and not press clutch at all till the car reaches a speed of 40-45 kmph. After that I will press clutch to keep the engine running. This even works on low friction surface. Anyways if given a choice I would love to spend on ESC rather than ABS.!! Mods if possible please add it in the above poll!

Has anybody encountered accidental airbag deployment?

Apart from the incident below, how many other lives have been saved by airbags in India.

Here is a high speed video of an airbag deploying on YouTube (Mods, delete this if already posted elsewhere)

ABS and Airbags are an absolute must for me. One of the reasons which made me choose the SX4 over other cars

Both Airbags and ABS mandatory. Jeez i don't believe that we have nearly 27% folks who think these are not important enough..

Both!! Though in my present car I have neither but my next one will have both! If the my 1st choice car (with ABS+airbags) is out of reach but within reach if I dont go for ABS+airbags, I will pick my 2nd choice (hopefully cheaper with ABS+airbags).

Only exception is when and if i buy a Evo X

I would like to have both and I guess they should be made mandatory. Safety, given the standard of traffic in India, makes these one of my top most priority while buying a car.
