BANNED | ![]() I love the Citroen brand. And all French Marques. The Citroen DS (1956 onward till 1980's) was supremely advanced with its hydraulic suspension and brakes and the ability to raise and lower itself depending on the terrain etc. I love the Citroen C2,C3, C4 (Cactus) and C5 Aircross too. I am only worried that they are allied here in India with the CK Birla Group, the erstwhile HIndustan Motors people. I dont know whether they will be able to support this properly and sustainably. |

| ![]() Interesting, but I am not sure of this strategy. A Rs 30 lakh SUV will only bring a few hundreds in sales per month. It does not give you that critical mass. Citroen should have tried it with a Rs 15-16 lakh SUV first. |

Team-BHP Support ![]() ![]() | ![]() While I read about it, one aspect is obvious. The petrol vs diesel equation. A quirky design, new India footprint, super strong competition like Kia/MG definitely means its a huge price sensitive band to look out for. So if the diesel stays at 1.5L/131BHP, we need to see its BSVI part and that I highly doubt would make it. And given the size it has and the turbo petrols we are looking at, fuel efficiency would be under question. Given top end diesel DCT Kia tops out at 21L, a CKD Citroen will go way above and probably may turn out to be a dead on arrival. If they wish to play at 20-30L market, they better be prepared on what all would they like to offer in the product. And not to mention, Hyundai Creta would come back with a vengeance in 2020. All said and done, the video on carwow does show very impressive space on offer. A nice frugal diesel (if possible punchy) will make it an awesome product for our market. Let the games begin! EDIT: Not to mention the car being compared to 3008 which seems to have pulled the Peugeot brand up quite some notches. Last edited by ampere : 8th December 2019 at 21:13. |

| ![]() Hideous design in my view. Maybe this is the age of the Millennial generation with bling and loud cues. |

| ![]() Hello all, this was spotted today in Bangalore this morning. 3 C5s on test and they seemed to be in a hurry. Couldn't get more pics since I was driving but whatever I took was done when I had stopped in traffic or at a signal, don't worry I wasn't using my phone while actually driving. Also, one of the cars was shod with Michelin Primacy 3ST tyres, which will please some Bhpians no doubt. ![]() |
