re: Citroen C5 Aircross to be launched in India in 2021

Are they going to launch it with Euro spec GC?
I see in all spy pics that the tyres are close up to the wheel well.

Re: Citroen C5 spotted testing in Bangalore.

Spotted Citroen C5 near Krishnagiri heading to Bangalore a few days ago(19 Jan 2020). Looks like it'll be launched this year.

Citroën launch in India soon?

I have recently seen a Citroën showroom being built in Ahmedabad. I was wondering if the brand is going to launch a product very soon? I haven’t seen any buzz in the market about Citroën or it’s products yet!

India bound Citroen C5 Aircross gets Plug-In Hybrid tech in two variants Flair and Flair-Plus. It remains to be seen if Citroen launches these variants in India or not.

For now the Plug-In Hybrid variants have been launched in UK at £35,340 (Rs 32.93 lakh) and £36,815 (Rs 34.31 lakh) respectively for Flair and Flair Plus variants.
Quote:
Powering the plug-in hybrid C5 Aircross is a 1.6-litre PureTech turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine coupled to an electric motor, which has a combined power output of 225 PS, and a peak torque rating of 320 Nm. Unlike the Peugeot 3008 GT Hybrid4 which gets PSA Group’s Hybrid4 system e-AWD, the C5 Aircross PHEV comes with a front-wheel drive configuration as standard.

The car also gets a 13.2-kWh battery pack which is claimed by WLTP to help the C5 Aircross plug-in hybrid cover 50 km on electric power alone. The said battery pack can be fully charged in 2 hours with an optional 7.4 kW charger, while a standard 3.7 kW charger will take 7 hours to charge the battery up to 100%.

On the other hand, Citroen is also in the works of entering the Indian market with the ICE version of the C5 Aircross; which was also spied undisguised in the country last month. The crossover SUV will compete against the likes of the Jeep Compass, Honda CR-V, MG Hector, and the Hyundai Tucson in the country.

re: Citroen C5 Aircross to be launched in India in 2021

India’s First Peugeot Citroen showroom in Ahmedabad – C5 Aircross launch by July 2020

Quote:
Unlike MG Motors which relies on massive and opulent outlets to propagate a premium feel, Citroen believes in keeping things small and simple. The brand has been experimenting with compact showrooms in France under the La Maison (French for home) banner. The Citroen La Maison outlets are smaller than a standard premium car outlet and are appointed with earthly tones including extensive use of wooden trims.

The La Maison outlets can be as small as 150 sq-m, just large enough to accommodate two vehicles, a small cafe, discussion area and an interactive digital system which facilitates the customers to configure their cars online. Bright highlights and the color theme are aimed at providing a warm home-like experience to customers.

Citroen’s Ahmadabad showroom fits the La Maison concept. Almost all Citroen India outlets are expected to be in line with this minimalist theme. The French automaker believes that an average customer would have done all the necessary research already and the primary purpose of a showroom visit is to get behind the wheel. Hence, a large multi-story showroom with several display vehicles is deemed to be an overkill. The brand says that the data from 17 of its La Maison outlets in its home country indicates customers are more satisfied with the overall experience compared to its conventional large outlets.

The minimalist Citroen La Maison showrooms also reduces the space required by the dealer quite significantly, resulting in proportional reduction in investment costs. The savings to the dealer are enormous in tier-1 cities where real estate prices are eye-watering to say the least.

re: Citroen C5 Aircross to be launched in India in 2021

The "We are Citroen" promo videos from last year proclaimed that the first car for India would be out by second half, 2021.

Hard to imagine they are production ready a year earlier than planned!! Too good to be true, but the test mules are doing the talking (ahem! riding).

Did you get the hint, VW-Skoda?

The C5 Aircross is a CKD, and that was always planned to be launching somewhere in 2020. The made in India Citroen cars were the ones they were talking about, when they mentioned about a H2 2021 launch.

Just spotted three C5 Aircross in Pune Camp. Two white and one dark grey. Dark grey looks pretty good. Sorry for the bad quality image.

re: Citroen C5 Aircross to be launched in India in 2021

Group PSA has just announced Citroen C5 Aircross India launch postponed to Q1 2021. Instead of the late 2020 arrival, the C5 Aircross SUV will now be available in Citroen India showrooms latest by March 2021. Considering the Citroen C5 Aircross will cost upwards of 30lakh ex-showroom.

Everytime I hear news about the Citroën, it reminds me of the Dacia Sandero trope on TopGear. We keep hearing about it, but that's about it.

Considering the current economic climate, they cant do much, can they? Showrooms were coming up till it stopped due to the lockdown. It will be disastrous for any car maker coming to India now to launch it in these times.

re: Citroen C5 Aircross to be launched in India in 2021

Aircross is sure to face strong crosswinds, when it hit's Indian shores, if at all, they launch it here! I've a strong suspicion given the atmosphere post Corona, there's all likely-hood that Citroen may not come to India at all. Europeans have a "Take it or leave it" attitude when it comes to the very price conscious Indian market. Because of which they remain 'niche' products only meant for snooty lot who want to stand out from the crowd with European products and then cry foul when they get ripped of at service and repairs.

That is true. But Citroen's been talking about a launch since ages without much detail. I think since Jan of last year. The content on their website keeps changing too.
