Here's a 3 part video on the Hyundai DCT. These are impressions and comments on the gearbox over 10,000km:

"The dual-tone paint options include Denim Blue with a Polar White roof, and Polar White and Lava Orange with a Phantom Black roof. The dual-tone paint schemes are available only with the manual SX trims of the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol and 1.4-litre diesel Venue models."

I think it's really weird that they don't offer it for the DCT turbo petrol.

The eye for detail you guys have is amazing. I had noticed this shimmer effect when the pictures first started coming out. Saw all the reviews later, but not a single one of them pin-pointed this thing!

TeamBHP's news section has put the same story with ACI credit as rumor. But the fact is that all this info is there on the Hyundai website itself.

A closer look at the AC vent. Silver border is THICK!

The side AC vents are kind of styled like the tail lamps when the rear of the exterior is looked at head-on! Nice touch there. Many cars do link interior and exterior design language, and while some do it a lot, some don't at all.

How difficult it is to give cruise control with automatic transmission by default :Frustrati

Also why are there three variants of DCT? Thought they come only in S and SX+ variant. SX is new here.

Only thing left to know is the price. Hope it doesn't disappoint.

Undoubtedly SX is the best variant, but is it available in DCT??

there are only 2 DCT versions in the booking list, the S and SX+. Hope this SX DCT is not a typo. Waiting for official reveal:Frustrati

It's sad that the top DCT variant misses out on so many things especially - side & curtain airbags.

Other features missed include Brake Assist, Centre & Rear armrests, 60:40 Split rear seats & Rear wiper/washer.

Fingers crossed for a top end DCT variant with all these & more as a future release. Is "Auto Day & Night Interior Mirror" the same as the auto-dimming IRVM ?

This scoop from Autocar is very poorly documented and explained.

The author has no knowledge about what many of these features mean.

I think we'll only know for sure, when Hyundai officially releases these details.

So sunroof is a standard feature and better safety is optional feature which won't even be available for DCT variants? And even rear wiper? Ridiculous to say the least.

I think that SX+ has all the SX's listed features as well, which includes cruise control & alloy wheels.

So they're giving electric sunroof instead of side airbags and rear wiper. This clearly shows the demands of the market. People would rather have a sunroof than better security features ~sigh!

Looks like the feature list has been given just what the manufacturer provides. I find it quite complete and well detailed and as always ACI has managed to get it before everyone else.

Sad to see that the base variant is so stripped, they might just call it Venue Prime and sell it to cab operators.

It does not even get rear power windows for an SUV that would cost more than Rs 7 lakh on road

agree: That's the case with all their cars isn't it? Creta AT(17.5L+ OTR bangalore) has sunroof in SX but only 2 airbags. Heck, i20 sells more Sportz variant than anything else which doesnt even come with automatic climate control or rear-wiper/washer. So clearly market doesn't care about these, rather prefer DRLs, sunglass-holder etc & hence its available mid variant onwards. Am sure missing those features won't affect sales at all and it will do as good/bad irrespective of these features.

Wonder how the AT pricing would be considering i20 CVT is priced around 8.2-9.1L ex-showroom(Bangalore). This being a crossover(additional 50-70k straight) along with the more expensive 1.0 turbo & DCT tech would surely be atleast 2-2.5L above the i20 which makes it in the ball-park of 10-12L ex-showroom. Although being a hyundai with all blingy features like sunroof and all, they can probably pull it off:cool:
