Indeed, a really thorough video. Companies spend a lot of time and money developing their cars in such environments because of all the massive quantity of data they acquire due to the harsh weather conditions like wind, temperature, and rain. In these situations, the brakes, steering, suspension, and cooling systems all respond differently.
I’ve seen the Tata Gravitas (now Safari) being tested in Ooty for over a year on the same stretch of road. I'm not sure if they were putting the car through a long-term endurance test.

The Citroen Berlingo was also being tested simultaneously. This is the first video of the car and it too has the ICAT testing sticker. Is the brand also launching the Berlingo in India?

In my opinion, India isn't ready for the Berlingo yet. Like the C5 Aircross, the pricing will be much higher than the competitors and that’s for sure.

For its price to be lower, the new Citroën C3 uses a simplified version of the CMP platform, easier to be produced and fixed. Its development took place in the Indian city of Chenai, where it will be manufactured to supply the Asian market while Porto Real serves Brazil and Latin America.

Saw two of these HR registered test cars on the Blore - Chennai highway nearing Sriperembadur.

Side profile looked similar to a KUV100. Couldn't get a picture of the front. The driver slow ed down and let me pass as soon as he saw my phone.
I am guessing it's the Tata HBX since the headlamps looked similar to it.

Couldn't get better pictures since I was driving alone.

This looks like Citroen's small SUV. Rear door handles of HBX are similar to Altroz.

Spotted this test mule and also a Berlingo a few days ago in and around Manali. Had very minimal camouflage, and the AC vents had squarish orange accents when I looked from the side.

Lot of Man hours, energy, time and money spent on testing the car for Indian conditions. Being their very important product, these test are must to check the durability and endurance of the vehicle.

Where Citroen need to focus in on the marketing and pricing strategy. If they don't get it right, the product will be dead on arrival for sure. They need atleast 3-4K sales per month to sustain in the country.

Citroen to start C3 (CC21) India production in December.

The new Citroen C3 will enter production sometime in late December this year. Sources tell us that the series production for this model will start simultaneously in India as well as in South America, with it expected to go on sale in both regions sometime early next year.

The USP would be the 1.2 litre Turbo petrol engine, flex fuel, suspension set up and build quality.

I sincerely wish it comes with Dash cam, TPMS and 6 airbags atleast in higher variants.

Initial pricing has to be very agressive given that the brand is new and sales/service outlets are very few.

While the Global Unveil will happen in September, the car will go on sale only in the first Quarter of 2022 in markets like Brazil and India.

The hatch will already have the group's engine with the adoption of the Firefly 1.0 in more affordable and visual versions without adventurous props. The other engine will be the old known 1.6 16V that will equip the versions with adventurous appeal.

Inside, the C3 2023 will have panel with floating multimedia center with wider screen, reminiscent of a tablet. Between the multimedia system and the air conditioning controls there are air conditioning outlets that simulate chain links. The panel will have a central strip in blue with a finish dotted throughout its length. At the ends are the other air vents. The steering wheel has the base flattened as in the 208.

The CC21 will have full front seats with integrated headrest. The controls of the electric windows of the rear doors will be in the center console to reduce costs.

The 1.0 Firefly engine yields power of 72 hp at 6,000 rpm and torque of 10.4 kgfm at 3,250 rpm when fueled with gasoline and 77 hp at 6,250 rpm and torque 10.9 kgfm at 3,250 rpm with ethanol in the tank. The gearbox is the five-speed manual.

If the 1.0 can be option, the 1.6 16V is already confirmed for the new Citroën C3 2022. The new generation of the French hatch will receive the upgraded engine that already equips the Peugeot 208. The propellant yields power of 115 hp at 5,750 rpm and torque of 16.1 kgfm at 4,000 rpm fueled with gasoline. With ethanol the power is 118 hp at 5,750 rpm and the torque is 16.1 kgfm 4,750 rpm. It will be connected to the five-speed manual gearbox and the six-speed automatic.

For the last quarter of 2024, it will be the turn of the debut of the Smart Car sedan, internally, the project is called CC26 or C-Elysee.
