Had gone to a local dealer here who did not have the car but showed me the brochure (I'm in my hometown in UP currently). The VXi comes shod with 195/65 R15 & the ZXi comes with 205/60 R16 according to the brochure.

some of you know that i am driving a sx4 wagon type. iam eagerly waiting for this stuff to be lauched in saloon ver in india. but i have some gripes, like the ride is a bit bumpy and certain few other issues like, a whistling sound in moderate speed comes thru the windows.

i had 32psi in my tyres and the ride was very very bumpy. i reduced it 29 myself the ride is surely better with just 2ppl with a kid, but yesterday i felt the handling was mediocore and not so confident giving. is this the quality of this car? i want to find out soon from tbhp TDs. As well, somebody was spot on about the rear leg room, its tad too small and "just" ok.

Another big thing with indian launch is there is no vvt engine with 109bhp!
lets wait then for the diesel launch.

one thing is sure, this stuff is selling like hot cake here! Maruti should have brought the wagon ver instead of saloon.

1. there is no point at all....Overly optimistic speedos are a marketing gimmick..to lure the gullible to belive that their cars are capable of unmaginable speeds

2. Other than the 1.8 RS , which are the other cars having rear discs in India ?

O>T> the front quarter glass on Honda civic was considered a fashion statement , but on SX4 it is an eyesore.. obviously , Honda can do no wrong

Nothing like that. So many years have passed since the launch of the Honda City Type III and I still hate its looks. I believe quarter glasses are a thing of the past. They suck whether they are on a Honda or a Hyundai or a Maruti.

Today morning on my way to my office in Whitefield, Bangalore, I was passing by the Maruti showroom on the ring road (pratham motors I think) and there was trailer truck just before the showroom. Behind it was parked a white car. At first I mistook it for the verna, but only when I passed it and saw the design of the headlamps and the bonner cover did I realize that It was the SX4. Since my bus was speeding past the showroom I didnt have the time to get a better look nor take a pic.

One thing is that it does look bulbous like the verna but doesnt have the snobby nose(grill). Since it was behind the trailer, I guess it was being unloaded and that should mean that the showroom have just received a stock of SX4s.

Anyone going over for a test drive or to see the car in person?

A Verna variant also has rear disc brakes. At least top end version of SX4 should have been given discs.

Not exactly. In NHC, I find the quarter glass almost neatly integrated. In SX4, it sure looks weird and non-proportional w/ the rest of the car.

Even our good old ambys & PAL cars had quarter glasses.

No one seemed to have noticed that. LOL
