I picked ACI for lack of a better option.. I mentioned somewhere else on the site and I will mention again that they were extremely unprofessional about my 2 yr subscription of which all of 2 issues reached me!After 2-3 emails, I get a reply saying that they have a problem in some remote post office somewhere...so does that mean that all bangalore subscribers dont receive issues!! Might as well call it Autocar India (except Bangalore) then!

i'm an Over Driver

Hi guys
at the risk of unleashing everyone's wrath I personally prefer Overdrive .. i don't look for elaborate stories but prefer technical specs and power and torque curve charts .. and that's where OD excells .. about the part of pushing certain manufactures i have to say that, in my opinion most publications indulge in it from time to time .. like mentioned by someone earlier .. they HAVE to .. or else not enough ads and not enough sponsorship .. i'm not saying it's right, i'm just saying it's something that i understand and choose to overlook .. otherwise features like, tyre tips from Sujon Chaudhury (old feature .. does'nt figure anymore), was a personal favourite with some invaluable information .. they have a lot of features like this from time to time that are quite good .. i also personally prefer the writing style of the OD chaps (though a little modesty would do them a lotta good)

Yeah my vote goes for ACI, best mag to have in India miles ahead than OD as well as the latest competitor The Auto Magazine- not worth the price tag.

Well the best thing about bs motoring is that they update their site quite often.. so you really dont need to buy that magazine but ACI and overdrive are nto so frequent they do it monthly.. though now ACI has started off..

Although I voted for Auto Car, I read both. I buy Auto Car and my friend buy Overdrive and then we exchange.
Both mags have pro and cons. They do have to keep some business interests and that brings in some biased reporting. But it is easy to spot and avoid. If you ask 10 people , 10 different opinions will pour in, at the end it is you the real judge.

After all we are interested in information and it is always welcome regardless of its source.

Even though I voted for Autocar, I like overdrive too. Sadly over the past 8 months I have noticed that both mags have the same content nearly every month. Strange but true., looks like these guys know what each of them is going to write.

Try it - it can be addictive, since their articles are very well written. I prefer them to the two other heavyweights.
