Autocar

Sorry Sir, but recently even Autocar has started dedicating sections of their mag to bikes and F1 .They have also improved upon their presentation style. The testers notes given after each test drive are particularly very helpfull . Also it sometimes borrows writeup from its sister mags from various other countries which is appreciated by all .

GTO
For me BSM is the 1. ACI has been losing its quality. BSM is still good.
GTO, have you read the comparo between a Swift Diesel and Palio 1.6 in some recent issue of BSM? After all the review, the verdict was - the swift will beat the Palio 1.6, but the Palio is still worth one last romance for its gorgeous lines (I don't remember the exact words used, and he was referring to the designers lines on Palio).
Great verdict!

Autocar now is mostly about ads alone.

Explicit ad pages, and of course, implicit in the reportage. This is true for almost all auto mags: full of fluff, irrelevant nit-picks (makes a noise at 150 kmph as if that mattered to an Indian driver, who is lucky to achieve an avge speed of 30 kmph), manufacturer written reviews, help columns (which is better here), cut and paste from F1 and international media, outdated car lists, speculations, and of course the numerous awards to all and sundry. With subscriptions of 30-50,000 per monthly issue, and sticker price of 60-75 (less for the publisher because of retailer discount), they can survive and thrive only through advertising, both explicit and covert.

Welcome or not, we'll find out in the next issue. This one was very poor, IMO!

By the way, Sirish is a keralite.

Mallu brigade indeed. Srini too. No longer are the Bawas dominating the field, though Sirish is half Bawa
