Its interesting how similar the profiles of the Kiger and the new Creta look, minus the C-section.

Funky looking concept. This actually was expected considering Nissan Magnite is making so much(+ve) noise. C-pillar looks like Nissan kicks.

Being a renault, few things we can be sure about:

1. Ride quality would be good.
2. Engine would be exactly similar to Magnite. 1.0 NA for low starting sticker price, 1.0 turbo MT & CVT.
3. Space utilisation would be good if Triber is anything to go by.
4. Aggressive pricing.

It would be great if they send it for GNCAP testing voluntarily like Tata did for Altroz before its release. That would help generate a lot of positive interest.

This thing looks really cool and youthful!

While the Magnite is carrying a Datsun like look , Renault has done well in giving their family design language to the KIGER.

Huge applaud to Nissan-Renault for one thing, ie for designing the rear / C portion in a proportionate manner, the silhouette is great. And the tail lamps design is neat in both the cars compared to the Nexon, Venue etc.

Magnite's cousin is it? I would prefer the Magnite over this, Kiger looks like the Kwid on steriods, don't like the name too - if that matters, the name reminds me of Liger (hybrid offspring of Lion and Tiger).
In my opinion, it should be launched if Magnite makes an impact, just like the Korean cousins Creta and Seltos - both sells.

re: Renault Kiger Crossover launched at Rs. 5.45 lakh. EDIT: Driving report on page 19

Looks a lot like Kwid from the front, though being bigger than Kwid would certainly help it look more SUVish than Kwid. I prefer it to Magnite with respect to looks and Renault's stability in India. Nissan's fate in India would depend only on the sales figures of Magnite, which would in turn be a bit risky to invest in it, considering ASS and resale value.
It would be interesting to see the launch of Tata HBX blazing all its guns with safety ratings. Moreover, its electric sibling might also draw our attention if it makes it an attractive, affordable, fun to drive EV. Exciting times for us for sure to see this whole transformation taking place. As GTO pointed out, we might get supercar like performance from affordable EVs. Looking forward and saving money for that.

It certainly looks like a blown-up Kwid. The headlamp styling is good.

The top view of the concept shows the prominent wheel archers and the narrowing C pillar at the back (top), lending it a SUV feel. Magnite feels more like a modern crossover, than SUV

Both Magnite and Kiger may come out as good cars or may even surprise us. Both Brands are let down by their after sales support. They need to improve it if they need to up their game.

Renault Kiger spied on test, carries some resemblance to the concept car.

Tried to imagine how the production version might look like:
Renault Kiger Crossover launched at Rs. 5.45 lakh. EDIT: Driving report on page 19-renault-kiger.png

- Removed the ghastly green neons.
- Replaced the roof carrier with roof rails.
- Changed the twin shade colour to a conventional blue.
- Replaced wheels and tyres with stock looking ones.
- Assumed the neon green indicators would be amber.

re: Renault Kiger Crossover launched at Rs. 5.45 lakh. EDIT: Driving report on page 19

Anyone has an idea if the Renault Kiger will be soft launched in Q1 2021? Or is it a car scheduled for later in 2021?

What cars are these? Please help identify

Just happen to stumble upon couple of test mules in the Chennai-Banglore highway near Ranipet today morning. There were 2 of them.

Renault Kiger Crossover launched at Rs. 5.45 lakh. EDIT: Driving report on page 19-img20201218wa0034.jpg

Observed the below:
1) 95% sure it was sub-4m SUV. Length was smaller than my Verna.

2) Had around 180mm ground clearance.

3) Ran 195/60 R16 rubbers.

4) Maintained around 110 to 120 KMPH speed. Assuming to be petrol not sure though.

5) Tail lights were not LED. However it had a DRL and also LED turn indicator on the ORVM.

6) Had HUD protruding out of the centre console and was not mounted on the dashboard, like Nexon.

The Engineers were not happy about me taking the pictures. Hence could not get the frontal pictures.

Mods:- please merge it with appropriate thread if already present.

Re: What cars are these? Please help identify

This looks very much like the Renault Kiger on test. This is Renault's version of the just launched Nissan Magnite 4m compact SUV (possibly a badge-engineered one, or with maybe a few more changes).

Do "report" your own post and ask the mods to merge this with the existing Kiger thread.
