A little off the topic - went to nexa to get the plates and had ordered a carbon fibre ORVM cover for the new baleno with them. They said they dont have such a thing as it is for the Ignis and not for the Baleno - and there were 2-3 SA - we went and saw the ignis - the ORVM is the same as the Baleno and they didn't know that.

They seem to be unapologetically breaking breaking new grounds with the 'Chalta hai' attitude. Maruti are the undisputed Overlords of this.

I am thankful though, its because of this random operative mode that we have a product like the Brezza which is unique in its segment with the 1.5 NA engine. It gives customers an option to own a fully loaded (albeit lower all-round quality) 1.5 engine car at the 12 Lakh range which otherwise would cost close to 15 Lakhs with any of the other car manufacturers in the country. I guess we just have to accept its their modus operandi and though we would love for them to raise their game, its a formula that has not failed them.

However, I do wish there was a Nexa version of the Brezza. That would have been interesting.

I feel it will be a copycat infotainment system from the baleno...
There too they took away the height adjustable seat belts and the wiper delay mechanism.

What I meant was something that can be easily resolved by Maruti. I cannot understand why a lcd screen needs such a large plastic casing.

Car looks butch in the videos, putting the fisheye-lense-induced spyshot scares that this is going to have a MPV-ish stance at rest.

In the walkaround video can see the rear wiper and armrest, so assuming it is ZXI at the minimum. The glasses look quite clear in the video, have they not given the UV cut glass which is present in the new Baleno? That would be a bad miss IMHO.

Why're all the leaks in such "low res" looks like the guy went back in time got a 1 megapixel camera phone of Nokia vintage. That said the Brezza is fairly well kitted out and interiors slightly resembles the recently launched Baleno especially the touchscreen infotainment unit.

Actually the rear doesn't look bad. It is quirky though with the protruding lower part, a bit like a notchback. Front styling is also inoffensive. Might be an acquired design taste for some. For others the design might grow over time.

But, in post number 487 on this thread the teaser image seems to show height adjustable seatbelts. Wonder what's going to happen eventually. And, if it's so difficult for Maruti to change the power window switches, they can at least fit them inverted? Would look different.
Hopefully they add the telescopic steering adjustment too. That'll really help get a good driving position.

I really appreciate the classification of variants offered by Maruti. They are not as complicated as Hyundai or Kia. Makes it much easier to compare and choose from .

re: The 2022 Maruti Brezza, now launched at Rs 7.99 lakh

The most important element of all in the heart of the car. The age of NA engines is long gone. You can't get the same KW output when the compression is lower from NA engines, petrol or diesel. Only Maruti is still somehow able to create economic cars (at each band level) with NA engines, while most brands has an alternative. All other features apart, this is still once grouse that prevents me from buying a Maruthi. For everything else it offers, it's the most trouble free, easy maintenance car that one can think of buying.

re: The 2022 Maruti Brezza, now launched at Rs 7.99 lakh

Maruti's 1.5L engine is a proven one. Does the 'C' in K15C indicates next iteration or next version? Also, not sure what ISG indicates. There were talks of hybrid/mild-hybrid in new Brezza - waiting for the launch to find out

What's going to be even more interesting is: tuning of engine+GB. Engine output is around 105PS mated to a 6-speed TC -> will the performance be similar to XL6, or, will it match its competition?

Hey Folks..

Just a question, is the booking for Brezza refundable? I am unable to find any comment on that.

Thanks in advance
