re: 4th-Gen Hyundai Tucson spotted testing in India. EDIT: Launched at Rs. 27.70 lakh

I went to Dee Emm hyundai in Gurgaon today. SA said absolutely no stock of current Tucson in petrol or Diesel. He said no news on launch of new version - possibly in 3 months (aug?), he was also guessing on expected price to be 3-5 lacs more

re: 4th-Gen Hyundai Tucson spotted testing in India. EDIT: Launched at Rs. 27.70 lakh

There seems to be doubts here whether Hyundai will launch the 4th generation Tucson in India or not. It has been indirectly confirmed by Hyundai sales report which shows a Tucson NX4i model (i for India). The TL Tucson however is still produced up to April.

I found a review of the 2022 Tuscon Hybrid and the reviewer is not impressed with its AWD system:

He was roundly criticized for this review because he did not appear to know how to use the Tucson AWD system, but note also this was the hybrid version. He is one of my favourite reviewers but either something was wrong with the particular Tucson he was testing or he was doing something wrong (like not checking all the different drive modes). Because of the criticism, he subsequently did another test of the Tucson AWD, and the car performed quite well. Overall, I think the VW Tiguan is a slightly better AWD but they are both quite good, though neither is a hardcore off-road vehicle. Here's the link for the second test of the Tucson AWD:

It seems the reports from some of you are indeed true. No units of the Tucson available even online with Hyundai India. 4th-Gen Hyundai Tucson spotted testing in India. EDIT: Launched at Rs. 27.70 lakh-f94f15fee2f54121b361968765809573.jpeg

Yes, Hyundai is not taking any bookings for the current model and some are already taking bookings (INR 25K) for the new one with an estimated delivery of 4-5 months from now. There is however local inventory with some dealers and its not visible anywhere centrally.

Its now "wait & watch" for the 4th gen unveil. Also hoping for Sportage launch and will be pleasantly surprised if there is a hybrid during launch

Great find! The fact that it's part of the global sales report shows the launch is not very far. Fingers crossed for a June reveal and sales in Q2!

Interesting, but then you need to also remember that the 4th Gen Tucson is already being sold in Nepal and the same is shipped out from India. That could very well be the Nx4i row for India. To clarify, I'm not saying that India will not get the 4th generation. I pray, we do.

re: 4th-Gen Hyundai Tucson spotted testing in India. EDIT: Launched at Rs. 27.70 lakh

Saw a post by another forum member where he stated he got a call from Advaitha Hyundai in BLR recently for pre-booking the new Tucson. BLR peeps interested may check out the post (Booked BMW X3, put down-payment on an apartment & now have a budget of 50-lakhs | Which SUV?) and also, perhaps, make a booking.

Hyundai's strategy is very strange, or they are guarding their secrets very well and we're all guessing very wrong .

Normally, car companies keep a gap of a few months at least between launches of cars. But here we are seeing two upcoming launches, the Venue facelift and the all-new Tucson with dealers accepting unofficial bookings for both.

re: 4th-Gen Hyundai Tucson spotted testing in India. EDIT: Launched at Rs. 27.70 lakh

New-Generation Hyundai Tucson India launch likely in July.

Quote:
At heart, the new Hyundai Tucson will retain the tried and tested 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, turbo petrol, and diesel engine options with transmission choices including a 6-speed manual and automatic, along with all-wheel-drive (AWD) in top-spec variants.
Quote:
Inside, the new Hyundai Tucson will carry over the same layout and features as the global spec model, including a large 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Bluelink connected car tech, as well as touch controls for the climate control system, ambient lighting, e-parking brake, and a switch for gear changes instead of a conventional gear lever. The cabin will get the all-black upholstery as the global model with the possibility of Beige & Brown options as well.

Re: 2020 Hyundai Tucson Facelift Review : 2.0L Diesel with 8-speed AT

Zigwheels, ACI etc all have the formal announcement on their social media pages. Apparently the all new Tucson finally announced for second half of 2022. Per the Zigwheels report, it will be fully loaded and a significant overhaul of the current model.

Petrol and diesel drivetrains with mild hybrid set ups are expected including AWD.

ACI speculates from the images that we are likely to get the LWB version. That should be a true gamechanger and could well take this (IMO) much closer to the entire Meridian segment on pricing etc.

Coincidentally, I had called Shreem Hyundai too earlier today and they had said they're expecting the launch around July / August max.

Re: 2020 Hyundai Tucson Facelift Review : 2.0L Diesel with 8-speed AT

Have recently purchased a Tata Punch and have also booked a MG ZS EV in March. I am also looking at this Tucson as a Diesel Option (Premium SUV).

MG has been severely affected by Semiconductor Shortage, there are 3 bookings within family for MG cars (ZS EV, Hector, Gloster), but there seems no sign of them.

I have always liked this Tucson since it's unveil in 2019.

This will also likely replace our 2011 VW Jetta MK6 which has been a brilliant car to own so far. Will surely miss it.

Awaiting details here as well as from dealer regarding this new Tucson.

Where is the July bit coming from please - what’s the source? All the press seems to say “second half” and nothing more.

Although when I spoke with Shreem Hyundai, he also said he’s expecting July / August launch.

Thank you.
