- 2.62-meter wheelbase over 4.40-meter total length feels odd
- The total overhang will be 1.78 meter, close to a meter of overhang on either side for a cross-over / SUV is little on the higher side for mass market product, would require additional stiffeners for the cantilevers in the existing platform, else cornering as well as drive over potholes and undulated roads would be unsettling
- Expectations in terms of creature comforts, appropriate bells & whistles is something which is expected by interested buyers
- Access to customers is only possible through wider dealer principal outreach, Citron is not fast and sharp enough in creating that outreach, they should borrow learnings from Kia and not from MG, this will help them in creating a mind space among buyers.

Overall I feel Citroen as a strategy have targeted customers with just enough budget to buy a vehicle in each category and each variant.

Will the 1.2 turbo Petrol be enough is the question.

I feel they may have another engine which could be revealed at unveil.

Overall the ride quality may just may compensate for the lack of equipment along with a very very good pricing.

And yes I don't think the EV is overpriced by very much though Citroen may throw in goodies worth 50k with the EV or offer a 50k discount. Still no delivery report videos.

Are the spy pics of the Creta rival? The flap/pull type door handles look cheap and feels it is selected for cost cutting. Creta and Seltos are made to look very upmarket and hence have a lot of desirability associated. If Citroen is trying to compete with them, it has to up the game a lot.

Going by the sales of C3, it is not looking promising at all. They have not been able to garner the kind of mindshare that is required for new brands entering India.

Don't understand why it is being called a Creta rival. Isn't it a 7 seater which would compete with the Ertiga, Carens base variants? Am I missing something here?

Seems like it will have 5 seater and 7 seater options. Also, they are likely going to price it higher, so started to do PR saying it is Creta Rival.

This looks all good. But why some European companies look at Indians like some cheap scrap car buyers?

In all the days Indian have rejected cars that gave us cheap features like Renault Logan did. Cheap finished dash board, omitting features like automatic central locking, cost cutting ORVMs and flap type door handles. This car too has flap type door handles and that is definitely a bummer.

These flap type door handles are so down looked that many cars failed to sell including from Ford Escort and Peugeot 309.

Jimny also have those flap type door handles. I have not seen anybody complaining about that in the other thread. But do agree with you, cheap does not sell in India, VFM does.

Not only Jimny but Thar too have the same type. For rugged vehicles, it is ok, but not for a lifestyle and soft roader cars. They look down down right cheap in this category where people expect some luxury quotient.

What is the engine that is expected to be used for the C3 Plus? Can we expect the 1.4 Turbo petrol from the Compass?

The autocar render or the Brazil images - looks more like an estate/station wagon than an SUV.

If Citroen have just stretched the C3 without increasing width, it will mean the rear seat is good only for seating 2 people comfortably.

I hope they change the rear design to make it look larger and wider. The C3 hatch's rear makes it look small. Any folks dreaming of buying a Creta rival will disappear quickly.

1. Any news of a well-priced automatic? The C3's turbo engine is a hoot to drive, but gear ratios of 1st and 2nd are not well suited to urban traffic conditions in India. Needs a lot of gear shifts.

2. The length will make it lose the small car pricing advantage. Hope the company is giving it premium materials inside. C3 looked cheap inside.

3. Aircross - does it mean it will get the famous air suspension like the C5 Aircross? The C5 Aircross is overpriced compared to competition, but very, very comfy.
