There is a news snippet featured in today's Hindu Metro Plus on the new small car from Ford.

It says it will be featured with a 1.2 Litre Petrol (possibily the UK spec) & the 1.4 Litre Diesel motor (there are going to be lot of buyers and would also be one of the peppier cars to drive if it comes with the same ratios as the Fiesta)

It also says that this is going to be on sale from March'10! One of my sources in Ford told me it would be in the market between December'09 & January'10!

Ford India website has been updated with an intro that points to the new small car. vicky.in reports that it will be launched today. hoping that it will be good

1.4 TDci and vista/swift pricing would be mouth watering

Doesnt look bad at all, this can reverse the Ford India fortunes. I read it somewhere that the base car will be available starting at 3 lakhs, thats mouth watering, thats close to Santro territory.

Wow. This indeed a great news !!! Looks like small fusion in outside, wish to have fiesta interiors inside. Any updates on today's launch? I remember the time when punto launch, our T-bhp punto thread updates every other second with a new post. Hope the same will happen today if there is a launch today..
