Thanks jyobeb for sharing the specs!

Engine specs is almost same as Swift D (it ought to be since both are 1.3 MJD).

Other features are quite standard as with Palio Stile.
And for ABS, Airbags, Alloys et al, since Fiat India had a mandate of pricing Palio 1.3 MJD below Swift D, they couldn't afford to provide the same.

True, but was expecting Fiat to tweak it just a bit to make it more powerful!

A difference of 6Nm torque wont affect the driving too much. But it would have been a different story if they have reduced the power. Thank God! It didn't happen.

I think Fiat might have remapped the ECU to get an extra bit of mileage in long runs thats reflected in the less torque. But only a Testdrive can reveal what exactly it is.

Somebody please get us a test drive report (Of course a DETAILED report)

The launch is 6:00 PM afterwards at Intercontinental The Grand, near international airport. Press is also invited to test drive the car before the launch and it starts at 4:00 PM.

Sounds good, except the pricing, too close with Swift.
Top end should have been offered at least with Alloy's.
Any idea about Fog lamps ?
I think these were additional in old 1.2 Sport and current 1.6 Sport, other than stuff mentioned in some previous post.

Was expecting at least a newspaper Advt, nothing, at least in B'lore.
Not in any of the News Tickers as well, Fiat website is not updated,.. must be one of the coldest launches in recent times,..

Awaiting a detailed TD report from somebody.

What i've heard is that the top end comes with Alloy wheels. Let's wait till evening.
Delhi dealer (Vivek motors) is saying that delivery time is one month.

It seems that FIAT want to keep a certain element of surprise in their 1.3 MJD launch. May be the newspapers tomorrow can have something to highlight on.

What is the problem for pricing? Its a diesel engine with few more options than 1.6.IMO pricing is not bad.

The price seems to be nice.
They may be launching the full version with ABS+ Airbags later once they find safe with the number of sales.

I just saw a transit trailer near Kulathunkal motors, Trivandrum. It may be of 1.3 MJD/ Stile petrol since their yard is already full with TATA cars.

The A.S.S and cost of spares and non-availability of dealer in my area made me drop the Palio and go for Getz D( i booked it today )

I will probably get a test drive tomorrow when I go for a service. The diesel has a different front grill.
