Release is on 11th of march and car will come in three variants. Top end will have alloy wheels (different design, I guess).
Unfortunately no ABS and Airbags as of now.

Good news is that Engine/ Transmission will be imported from Poland.
Local manufacturing will start after 3 months.

I’ve asked for the price information, may get it by tomorrow.
So the bookings for it has started??? If yes then who all here at Team-BHP are gonna book it?

Can 1.3 MJD fuel the Fiat Sales?

Can 1.3 MJD fuel the Fiat Sales?

I doubt, it was even failed with 1.9D version, So if 1000 BHPians are eagerly expecting it, but actullay only 50 will buy it (Since most of them are having some car already).

If on-road price is ljust ittle less than the Swift VDi then it won't suceed.

Fiat india will be confused, then they will release N.A version from their partner

I know MJD lovers going to kill me

Fiat themselves are not targeting high volume (500 pm I guess). just a fill in Gap till Punto and Linea come.
But if you look, it wont be a bad deal and I would love to drive it between hundreds of Swifts.

Failed coz of pricing. It was too costly.

Palio MJD is just a stop gap arrangement until the production of Punto MJD commences at the Fiat factory in Rajnandgaon, Pune.

Though Palio is in the market for past 6 - 7 years, it is still comparable to the new gen hatches like Swift, Getz etc.
The Palio package has Build quality, Ride comfort, handling, Space, Looks etc, so what is the harm if it is continued with a new diesel heart?

Im kinda disappointed with Fiat s attitude here. Before even launching it they are saying that they are expecting to sell only 300-400 units per month of the MJD. I feel they launching the MJD a tad late. Also we have to see how they price the product as they are going to compete with Swift D and maybe Dzire base version ( if Dzire is priced competively)
