No coupe has ever been locally assembled here. And i doubt the accord ever would.
I'm waiting for they day a gutsy car maker takes that step in India. The german marquees could easily sell a decent number of their super sexy coupes.
A 3 series coupe would be an ideal kick off.

Yes, I think the Indian car market has matured enough to start appreciating the coupe. Launching the Accord/Civic coupe would also enhance Hondas image from being just a family car maker to one that can also make sporty and good looking cars.

I think the only coupe available in india at present is the Rolce Royce Phantom coupe! but I had also seen a M3 coupe in a beemer showroom so dont know whether thats available.

hope honda, toyota and VW and skoda would also start selling those in india. the accord coupe would look damn sexy for sure!

What a coupe that is, for the only one available! I doubt if Accord Coupe would be launched. Honda would be targeting the chauffeur driven class with the Accord, and Coupe won't really make too much sense. However a Civic Coupe looks more likely! Or, how about making a City Coupe??

Is the launch today or not?

Tell me about it. 6.5L for the V6 engine is very very steep. As suspected not much of features has been added as well.

It looks like this launch is an attempt by Honda to sell their unsold fuel guzzling cars remaining in their inventory. Otherwise how can one explain the launch of such a car during these times. But yes, it may sell more than Camry looking at the fate of "T vs H" fights in other segments in India.

Great car but lame pricing. 6.5lacs more is just too much to swallow. I hope the suspension has been stiffened up to cope with that extra grunt. The suspension in the 2.4 was too soft and wallowy.

Edit: No manual transmission option available. Thats really sad. Also the resale of this car will drop like rocks just like the old v6.
