The First Pic looks more like a realistic render. The alloys look XYLO E8 ish. the color resembles the smoke grey color of the fortuner

Car has not reached ASC at Ahmedabad as of now, they hope to have it by tomorrow morning earliest. They are preparing big-time for sales, demo and service, looks like they have lots of hope pinned on this one.

True, infact it is somewhere between butch front of Fortuner and rest from mummy innova with wheels from aunt xylo

My friend & fellow BHPian saw the XUV today on the EE highway zooming towards Thane, maybe to Global Gallarie, the mahindra dealer. it was closely followed by two unregistered scorpios. when i asked him how it looks, he says - amazing & brawny, has lots of street presence but the third window looks awkward & the rear hatch demands a spare tyre on it, as per him.

sitting in office and actually very charged up about this launch, was in a similar situation last year for the Thar launch.
as much as i'm looking forward to the vehicles looks & styling , its the pricing which i feel is going to be key for M&M.
at a price point of between 11.5-13.5 it can kill off the Aria market (is there an Aria market haha) but more importantly make a dent into the Civic, Cruze space.

for the longest time working professionals + SUV enthusiasts like myself have been moaning about the large gap between the Scorpios and the next segment - endevour, fortuner etc.

finally with the launch of the XUV & Force Motors - Force One that gap may be getting bridged.

All eyes at the clock to strike 7.30 PM !!

The "Unlock" feature has been disabled in the site now. Even if they received the 5000 clicks they are ensuring that no-one sees the vehicle before the launch.

I personally hate such gimmicks. In events they tell that there is a gift for someone hidden in a room and make you run about the room. then they tell its an icebreaker to get you on your feet. Heck he can buy a Rs5 Dairy milk as a prize and not cheat.

For an SUV, the look plays a major role. Many buys SUV even if they never take it off-roading. A killer-look is essential in this segment - the pictures I see are not 'very' impressive so far.

The clothed vehicle standing for the launch, Mahindra XUV500| Guess the Price contest | Win an XUV500, right now looks lengthy, close to a look of MUV. I wish the XUV to come close to SUV and not an MUV, as we know the story of Aria.
