The interiors do not seem to have changed a whole lot from the protos that we have been seeing, although the quality definitely seems to be a notch above. Hopefully the quality of plastics and fitment etc will be upto the mark.

Mahindra somehow has an affinity towards the brown shade of interiors; Xylo has it, the new Bolero is also bordering on the brown, the XUV reddish shade of brown. Only the Scorpio has what you can call it as "Beige" shade of brown :-)

many foreign SUV's also have the handbrake placed like this.

the seat adjuster and lumbar support knobs were placed on the side of the back rest of the drivers seat in the proto. becomes a little awkward at times. Hope this is changed in the production version.

20 F1 tickets too! Would they actually give away a car as a freebie or is it just a gimmick? Have any company done this before i.e. giving away a car as a freebie during their launch campaign?

Considering it's just a matter of putting in a guess it's not a bad reward for the efforts involved

I like the interiors. It looks way better than the boring LR inspired dash of the Aria.

The screen seems well integrated. The dash does not look "cluttered". Mahindra has been always generous with features & so the XUV may be well equipped, so the plethora of switches...

Also, seats of the XUV "look" very upmarket & comfortable. I especially like the design of the handbrake, the interior door handles, the central armrest, the instrument console, the control stalks & the way the buttons on the steering wheel are integrated.

In all, I like the swoopy & curvy dash of the XUV. I just hope all three rows have proper space & they dont mess up like TATA did with the Aria.

Sometime ago I remember seeing a link in the Aria website about the person who won the contest. No sure about it though.

Hi All,

Just came across this article on IAB, where they are claiming launch of both the 2WD and 4WD versions on 28th/ 29th September for the XUV500! According to earlier reports, it was only the 2WD which was to be launched initially.

should be good for action
now with ref interiors and finesse we Indians are superb at doing bespoke one of a kind "craftsmanlike" work but are a disaster when it comes to mass production to the same standard quality level. wonder when this will change.

But Im keenly waiting for this vehicle and if I dont find it too big for my needs I might just consider booking one.

my faith in M&M is restored right now partially because they've treated me very well on an expensive service issue on my Scorp. Can trust them to do the right thing by consumers in general.

Hope the launch does happen on 27th/28th Sep as planned.

Guess they have corrected the 5-speed mention to 6-speed. From the interior pics, it looks like a 6-speed to me with collars on the gear stalk which will help lift the lever and put it to reverse gear by moving ahead of the first gear [like Verna CRDi / Getz CRDi]
