I like that FIAT has come up with so many options with GP that a person can choose the engine he likes. 3.99L Watch out.

Waiting for a detailed review !
You forgot the Ritz, Spark (selling at 4 lakh on road), Zen Estilo, A Star, i10, i20, Fabia and most of all the Jazz- which is anyways going suicidal considering what Honda priced it at! Grande Punto has variants which are put up against all these models and if marketed well will beat the hell out of all these cars for the features it offers.

Yes, it is up in the fiat-india site but the fiatpunto.in is still not up. Someone mentioned it will be up by 8 but not done yet.

Very true. That's one very very clever positioning by FIAT. You got to give it to them for this.

It would cover ALL the spectrum from 4L - 6L bracket.

One thing I forgot to mention is that the rear-headroom is good -- LOT LOT better than Linea.

BTW, here are some pics -- shows the rear legroom space in normal front seat position.

Indeed the car is good looking and the pricing is right, but remember that first we have to wait for test drive. Second how the after sales service copes up with increased volumes. Remember Palios launch was as exciting, it too had promised much at that time. Only time will tell. However this model has been a turn around model for fiat abroad, it was THE model that brought it back to profits.

Am still not able to access the Fiat Punto website and it is very slow - looks like all you folks are drooling GP.

I guess that the GP's turning radius will be equal to Linea. Fiat is advertising this as a city car and I still feel that this near 5.5 m turning radius will be a letdown for GP. I remember struggling with my earlier Fiat car at Bangalore which had 5.3m turning radius.

I have a weird request to all of you. Can someone please give me the first page of the PDF brochure of Punto in a JPEG format? It will make a great wallpaper.

How does this baby compare in price to the Swift and the i-20? (feature to feature)

I can quickly see this becoming the latest fashion accesory.
