from the looks of it this version can carry off the name ZEN on it a lot better than the previous zen estillo which pretty much seemed like a modified wagon R. The now have plenty of options within a similar price band but they all seem alike. how does one really make a choice. why isnt maruti trying to introduce the gimny?

I read it as driver side airbag. Yes it is on the top end variant.

I like it so much, for 4 lakhs you are getting whole lot of features, will definitely hit the santro sales IMO. I like the new design and the fresh interiors. The dashboard looks, it's fit for a carputer DIY project. IT should be nice city car.

New engine, power convenience features, ABS, rear wiper, electric mirrors, all at 4lacs- has to agree that this has started making sense. Now, only if they would add a driver's seat height adjuster, this would have been one of the best equipped cars in the entire small car category. Has to see how it rides, and how's the engine- everything else looks promising, especially with the revised styling that's now more palatable.

New Estilo with ABS, Airbags costs 4.7+ Lakhs OTR in Bangalore. Checked with Pratham motors just now. For the same price I get i10 Sportz with 1.2L engine and better interiors and bigger car.

Somehow, the front headlight remind me a lot of ageing Getz and to some extent first generation bug eyed Santro. Frankly, nothing refreshing in the new version of Estilo.

takecare and drive safely

According to Maruti, Estilo has established itself as a brand and did not need the crutches of "Zen" to its name.
"Estilo is a brand in itself and is very different from the Estilo we launched in 2006 or the Zen in 1993," said Mayank Pareek, Maruti's managing executive officer in-charge of marketing and sales.

So, finally MUL honour the Zen.

The headlights look SX4ish, or is it only me!?

I droped in Pratham motors on my way to office to check out the new Estlio. While the front nose treatment looks better, I felt the interior has gone a step back. Combination of darkbrown and beige(ish) looks bit downmarket IMO. Can't just compare with i10.

Estilo VXi ABS costs 3.96L, while i10 Kappa Sportz costs 4.26L ex-showroom Bangalore. There is a difference of 30K, which is a big amount in this segment.

And if you say i10 is bigger, it's only in width.
i10: L,W,H: 3565, 1595, 1550

I have been through few threads in this site where they have discussed the missing low end torque & vibration of the a-star engine which makes it difficult to drive in city traffic.

If the estillo shares the same engine, then we may get the same problems.

Discounts on vehicle mean sales are down / some new model is down the pipeline.
Discounts are the surest way to pep up the sales in short run.
