Ok- first of all, this is not only about cars that will be showcased at the Auto Expo in Delhi. This is a picturesque description of the ten cars that will change the face of Indian Auto Industry in 2010. These cars are taken from across the range of manufacturers in India.
1) HYUNDAI H800/ METRO
This car will arrive by the end of 2010 and will rock the A segment and its current leader the Alto. Will it be able to snatch away the throne?
2) FORD FIGO
Has Ford hit the bull's eye? Has it got the 'cool factor' to help it pull it off in the B Segment? I think it does, considering its Ford India's first and coolest entry into the B segment. With prices at 3.5 lacs, its sure to rake up the sigri in the auto market!
3) VOLKSWAGEN POLO and POLO SEDAN (same POLO brand hence single heading)
Well, I needn't introduce POLO to you all. It's a VW, it's got both diesel and petrol engine options and even a 100bhp devil! Who would resist this car? I think if the prices are placed correctly, VW might even outrun the i20 and trample the Figo?
4) NISSAN MICRA
Well the new global Micra, to be made in India in the Chennai Auto Belt, is a new entry for the crucial Renault-Nissan partnership. With the 1.5 and 1.2 engines, and with a design hopefully reciprocating the looks of its concept above, this might just pull off as a successful debut for the duo.
5) FIAT LINEA T-JET
Well, the specifications are at this thread:

And seeing such a ear cracking specification, Fiat is sure to pull it off and send the other cars cowering for shade! This change has long been awaited since the original Linea released and is sure to be a winner in the market, considering the EVP factor and the beauty.
6) SUZUKI KIZASHI
For almost 3 decades, Maruti Suzuki has built up an image that makes itself known as the cheapest and most reliable car company in India. With more than 15 small cars in it's kitty, Maruti Suzuki will take a huge leap forward when the jump into the luxury D segment. Can their ill fitting parts and poor plastic quality be abolished when launching this car? Only time will tell whether Maruti Suzuki is ready for an upgrade in status.
7) TATA INDICRUZ
Will TATA be able to jiggle up some fresh air in the stale MPV segment? What will it have that the others dont. With TATA doing some serious testing all over the country, they must be prepared to ruffle up some feathers anytime soon.
8) HYUNDAI SANTA FE
Hyundai is making us wait for the Santa Fe for over 1 1/2 years now. Will it create the same impact as the Fortuner did when it was released? It just might.
9) SKODA YETI
Well, this car has proven itself internationally. It has got a superb 1.2 engine, superb features, space, mileage and off roading capabilities. Will it be able to slip Mahindra off it's feet as the kingpin in off roading? Wait and watch.
10) CHEVROLET BEAT
Almost missed this little fellow, who is bound to make more impact than the Chevrolet Aveo (which is also going to get a new skin next year). It has the looks, and it could be the first diesel in its segment. It has what it takes to be a segment leader. watch this space.
So you saw above, what I think where the 10 (11) cars which will rock 2010. Of course, there are many more releases in 2010 out there that also might luckily slip into maybe, the top 20. They all are:
1) FIAT BRAVO

3) NISSAN MURANO
4) MITSUBISHI LANCER GALLANT, LANCER EVO
5) CHEVROLET AVEO, TAVERA
6) BMW 5 SERIES
7) VOLKSWAGEN BEETLE, TIGUAN
8) HYUNDAI SONATA
