Guess they are trying to figure out how to price the vehicle after with the added features as there is no offical ads on the new features or the new price. Adding air-bags is a big deal and I am sure Mahindra would want to publicize that.

Blue bulb? Fake HID? Pimping?

It already has tall and fake taillights, now fake HID.

The addition of fake blue headlight negates the safety addition of airbags.

Has dealer confirmed the features available on it? In any case, the new features, are supposed to be available only on VLX trim.

Yes, I too think so. The SLE version does not come with any audio system in it so bluetooth feature is not applicable for SLE, same is the case with sensors too. So, all the new features will be added in VLX alone.

Shankar, You talk my mind! It is really annoying and scary when you are driving at a respectable speed.

But you know what? I have the same problem with Prado. It also does it even for the slightest puddles. May be the SUV styling is the reason.

Nope does not happen in the safari, so SUV styling is possible without this problem.

Coming back to the topic about the improvement by M&M and they are commendable and necessary. The sad bit is that most car buyers avoid airbags as if it is a luxury and they treat safety to be a luxury. airbags must be an option even in base models, rather than leather seats. Even TPMS is recently mandated as compulsary in some markets.

ABS must be a compulsary part of the base model spec.

+1 to that!

Once made mandatory, the prices are sure to fall! I hope someone wakes up within the government and does this.

Is there any utility to these blue bulbs? I mean besides blinding the oncoming traffic? As it is most people drive almost exclusively on Full beam, now manufacturers like Mahindra in their zest to add features, howsoever inane, are just making it worse for others.

That's a great step taken by M&M. Good to see our Indian manufacturers are heading towards introducing new safety features. Thats a good call Mahindra.

Has it released? if so what would be the price difference?

Quality of most features on VLX variant like reverse sensors, TPMS and other sensors feel worse than even the cheapest chinese accesories. Most of this stuff can be had aftermarket. It makes sense only to buy VLX only for Airbags otherwise Sle variant with abs is recommended.

SLE model now comes with the ABS and the mHAWK engine.

I think the new changes in SLE model are:
1. ABS
2. mHAWK Engine
3. Electrically operated ORVMs
4. 5-zone cushion suspension
5. Voice assist system, vehicle security system & remote locking/unlocking
6. Illuminated spoiler
7. Roof-top ski racks
8. Follow Me Home headlamps
9. illuminated key ring
10. Individual armrests on 1st row seats

Nope, all these features are available with the current SLE version. When I went to book my SLE previous week, I did make a call to the M&M customer care manager and he did not say about any new features being added to SLE, however told that still there is a price hike of about 10K for this variant.
