My next car will be either Swift VDI or Fiat Punto Multi Jet (if price is in the range of Swift). May be by the end of this year.

Nice to see a ton of SUV's and 4x4's on the next car list. That's a ready market for a 10 lakh SUV if I ever saw one. Tata better come out with their second gen Safari soon!

My next car would be Lancer cedia or the new lancer if it comes to india. I would want a diesel, but nothing in this segment that excites me. I don't like the Verna and fiesta. I am waiting to see if VW comes in with Jetta 1.9 Diesel or Linea 1.9 Diesel.

Lots of diesel lovers around! Probably it may be due to poor quality of fuel, even brand new diesel cars give out so much smoke, that too in Delhi where you can buy high quality diesel. I would hate adding my bit of pollution! Why the hell can't we have a diesel (SUV or not) that does not pollute with the given quality of fuel?

There are two pieces of desire most of us are chasing: 1. Powerful vehicle with all terrain capability ("decent off-roader") 2. Economy.

Alas, and per my crib above, our wishes are far from being granted....unless we are ready to sodomize the environment.

Very sincerely, I am myself craving to buy my next (after Accent) as soon as the housing loan stops moving my cheese! However, I am nowhere near converging upon the probable candidates.

Best wishes,
-MP Singh

But the problem is there are more Fiat fans than Fiat buyers. I hope
that gets matched !

but I do like the exclusivity. Have just bought my Palio, so the next one seems far off. Would like a cheap, but comfortable, SUV types as my second car. Not too many choices now, are there?

I am very eagerly waiting to get my hands on the Nano, as and when it launches. Need a car mostly for city driving and I guess this one fits the bill (pun intended) in every possible way.
Other cars on my radar right now - Getz Prime or the Indigo CS. Only time will tell what I settle for... very soon.

My Tata Indigo will probably be replaced mid next year by either one of these.
