Good work Hyundai...

The front is more elegant now and looks like a car. The earlier one was looking like an insect. The interiors are a welcome change. No alloys, no ACC, no MID in any of the variants. Come on Hyundai

The gear shift indicator could sometimes be a pain. I love lugging the engine in the city, i guess the shift indicator would go crazy with such sort of driving.

The fuel consumption rated at 20+ for 1.2??? In the real world, i have heard many i10 owners not too proud about the car's efficiency. Has Hyundai done any changes that has improved the fuel efficiency or is it just a phrase in the advertisement.

The screen shot you've posted is not a Hyundai India site. It even has a diesel spec.

The figures i got are from the leaked print brochure of the new i10 posted by Sid.

I was just responding to what Daewood had put down. Also i just checked the Hyundai website and they still have the specs of the old kappa 1.2 and irde 1.1 engine which have similar output figures of your attachment kapil, and not of the new Kappa2 engine.

So lets see what the final spec sheet of the new engine reads out once that is out to the public. What Dawwood was refering to is the fact there there is news Hyundai has not only modified the kappa(1.2) engine but also the irde (1.1) engine. So the new torque/rpm figures that Daewood has mentioned is of the modified engines output.

But as i said, we shall just have to wait and see till hyundai releases the new output figures.

awesome on the features, alloys will be missed though. Now the AT Asta with ABS looks quite tempting to buy. Very good move by Hyundai on the features. When are they updating their website for more details ?

The front design looks uglier.

Front doesn't look uglier, but its definitely not much of an improvement.
As for interiors, thank god they removed the all beige dashboard. This new colour looks much better.
Any more news on the advantages of this VTVT Engine?

My biggest rant with Mr Kappa is poor low end response. From the ZigWheels article it appears that there is an improvement on that front with VTVT. However, would look forward to any initial test drive reported here for the same.

If they anyway were introducing some changes, I would have liked to see Hyundai providing ACC, Alloys, wider tires, some additional storage around dash, a better horn, more powerful headlamps and an improved rear suspension.

I see 2 types of front ends. Clear headlights with body colour grille and Smoked with black grille. Which version is which?

IMO, the old interior looked better. Beige/Black gives a rich feel.

I saw both the 1.2 Kappa2 VTVT Magna & Sportz variants today at KUN Hyundai, Anna Nagar, Chennai today. The salesman called me as soon as it arrived in their showroom. HMP Eekkaduthangal also confirmed that they have the new i10 on display. HMP salesperson told me test drive is available from tomorrow.

The car looks fine but I have to admit that I was disappointed when i found the tilt adjustable steering missing in both above variants. Other than that, the car looks great. I was told that there is an increase in price of about Rs. 6,000 over the outgoing model & also that there would be no discounts or offers on the new i10 (which was expected).

The new i10 looks impressive. I some how feel this launch is going to put a dent in Nissan Micra, Ford Figo (petrol) sales and possible Ritz (petrol) too. If only it had a diesel option, Hyundai might just have their own Swift (in terms of sales)
