Mercedes-Benz is rumoured to be considering a long wheelbase version of the next-generation E-Class sedan for the Indian market.

Mercedes-Benz has been testing the 2017 E-Class (W213). The sedan's exteriors have been spied on multiple occasions over the past few months. We now have a first look at the new E-Class's dashboard.

Is it only me, Body line as well interiors rivals the most luxurious brand in the automobile industry.

Strong muscular lines, front grill and lifted bonnet resembles more to RR & Bentley.

Looks like a properly integrated screen in the new E as opposed to the silly pop up screens on the A, B & new C !

Mercedes has really upped the game and i fear for BMW and Audi who won't be able to keep up till they launch there next generation 5 and A6.

In the current generation, the E has the worst interior for sure. The next E is going to be a benchmark in terms of Luxury !

is it the body cladding or is the next gen E significantly bigger? The interiors looks even more like the S than it does in the New C. This is turning out to be better than the last two generations of Mercs

Going by how MBIL launched the new S and C a few months after the global reveal, the new E could be launched here in the 3rd or 4th quarter of F.Y 2017. The E-Class is supposedly the best selling Benz in India, so they will try to launch it asap.

The W213 will be bigger in all dimensions, but there's definitely a lot of added body cladding. They'll keep this on till the car is within a month or so of its launch. Gotta keep the suspense around the design, but given how the new S and C look, we can guess what it will look like.

The interiors really are a class apart! So much more plush and luxurious than its competitors. Merc is really upping the game by leaps and bounds here. I do complain about the exteriors though. E always had a charming design language , something that differentiated it from the C and the S. I for one, loved the quad headlights on the current E (pre-facelift). Even post facelift the idea of the quad design remained intact with the DRL dividing the headlamp cluster. Even the tail-lamps were unique in the Merc range, extending onto the boot accentuating the width of the car. C type tail-lights make up for a stubby boot, which is a let down for the E's design IMO. The latest render puts it somewhere in between the C and S.

In effect,
C - Baby 'S'
E - Teenage 'S'
S - well...the big 'S'

IMO AutoBild renders are quite successful to reality & if this render to reality is almost same then i believe it will be game over for most of the rivals (may be the W222 S Class too

Hopefully the rear lights will be changed to what is shown in the rendering above. MB is identified with the kind of rear light design and it was one of the things that was real bad about the current E class.
Still, the autobild rendering side profile looks a lot like something from BMW.
