Suzuki's jimny in 2024 is likely to get Toyota's Hybrid system.

Suzuki would have agreed with Toyota to use the 1.5-liter hybrid of the Yaris in the Jimny , a 116 hp mechanic with emissions of only 89 g / km of CO2 according to the WLTP cycle in the urban bodywork that would solve in a satisfactory way the current emission problem that Suzuki's 4x4 has and that was carrying heavy fines due to the CAFE regulations imposed by the European Union.

Jimny with the Toyota logo for less affluent markets where the Land Cruiser is too expensive and where Suzuki has a sufficiently wide distribution network.

2018-20 Suzuki Jimny recalled with fuel pump and airbag faults: Up to 4282 vehicles affected in Australia.



The affected vehicles were sold between 9 May 2018 and 2 December 2020 (Model Years 2018 to 2020).

Due to an incorrect manufacturing process, a component within the fuel pump could swell, causing the fuel pump to become inoperative. If the fuel pump malfunctions, the engine could stall while driving.

The door harness wires on both the driver and passenger doors could be damaged or cut by the repeated motion of opening or closing the doors .. If the wires are cut or damaged, this may cause the curtain and side airbags to not deploy correctly.

2021 Suzuki Jimny launched in Malaysia, priced at RM 168k, bags 30 bookings before launch.

30 bookings for the cute-looking SUV, an impressive figure considering that the buyers bought the car sight unseen.

Powering the all-new Suzuki Jimny is a naturally-aspirated 1.5-litre K15B four-cylinder petrol engine that does 102 PS and 130 Nm, mated to a four-speed automatic. A part-time four-wheel drive (4WD) is a standard fitment as well.

Being an officially-imported model ( from Japan) also means that owners of the Suzuki Jimny are backed by a factory warranty, in this case, a 3-year/100,000 km warranty package.

Mitsubishi and Suzuki inaugurate off-road track in Sao Paulo ( Br.)

The off-road track has a path of approximately 300 meters that has ten characteristic obstacles and usually found on trails and several dirt roads, among other challenging pavements normally found in Brazil. The circuit has different types of floors, passing through sand, earth, stones and concrete. The cool thing is that the customer interested in a mitsubishi or Suzuki model will be able to see, in practice, the capacity and robustness of these vehicles in an environment that portrays the reality of a track or dirt road.

Would be interesting to know if the wheelbase was extended later.
If not, this could be the one on which the 5 door version would be based.
