The new design looks brilliant, IMHO. Here is what Maruti Suzuki needs to do if the new S-Cross has to be a Creta-rival in a true sense:

1. Get a 1.5 diesel engine. (Maruti's current petrol engines are underwhelming!)
2. Get a 4 or 5-star safety rating in GNCAP
3. Update the infotainment system to look like it belongs to 2021
4. Price it aggressively to undercut Creta by a small margin
5. Figure out a way to keep the waiting time under 3 months

The C-pillar is significantly narrower, the roof spoiler is more generous compared to its predecessor

S-Cross gets new headlights, while the front end seems to be quite unchanged in terms of proportions. The window line rises more strongly to the rear, the roof spoiler is more generous than its predecessor. This creates the impression of a greenhouse offset backwards.

The bonnet is less sculptural, the C-pillar is much narrower. At the front, Suzuki installs a grille that does not require vertical struts and instead carries the brand logo over a crossbar in the middle

Yes, other than the central console housing the infotainment system and AC vents, everything appears to be same. Even the steering wheel is same and so are the door pads. Wishing a major change from Suzuki and Maruti is like wishing for the moon. They work on the principle of, If it ain't broke, why change?

Welp! This probably the only car which I feel needs some chrome on the grille.

Not the "In Your Face" one, but something decent. Right now it looks like someone with braces having its mouth wide open.

Overall I like this redesign. Kudos!

The next-generation Suzuki S-Cross has 48V mild-hybrid technology and a claimed WLTP fuel economy figure of 53.2mpg.

Suzuki’s new strong hybrid system combines a newly developed fuel-powered engine with a single Motor Generator Unit (MGU) and Auto Gear Shift (AGS). It supports both hybrid driving and EV driving (inactive engine) for low fuel consumption.
The new strong hybrid system will be available next year in Europe, first in the Vitara followed by the S-CROSS.

Buyers have a choice of two specifications, called Motion and Ultra. There’s plenty of standard safety equipment, including front and rear parking sensors, a parking camera and driver-assistance technology such as lane-keep assist, traffic-sign recognition, blindspot monitoring and hill-hold assist.

Standard equipment for the Motion model includes heated front seats, dual-zone climate control, a 4.2-inch driver information display in the centre of the gauge cluster and a seven-inch touchscreen. It also has 17-inch alloy wheels, automatic LED headlights, aluminium roof rails and electrically folding door mirrors.

The range-topping Ultra variant is priced from £29,799 and gets a set of polished 17-inch alloy wheels, a sliding panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree parking camera, a nine-inch infotainment system with built-in sat-nav and leather upholstery.

Both are powered by an updated version of the turbocharged 1.4-litre four-cylinder mild-hybrid petrol engine found in the Vitara, which produces 127bhp and 235Nm of torque. Suzuki says that’s enough for a 0–62mph time of 9.5 seconds and a top speed of 118mph.
