re: Professionally Modified Supercars

Haha, thank you for the credit, Suhaas. Even I fell absolutely in love with this R8. The only tiny criticism that I have is about the red plastic highlights. IMO, they look out of place on an otherwise tastefully modded supercar. Other than that, this is a stonker!

Oakley Lamborghini Aventador "LP760-2"

Quote:
WCF:Oakley Design has released the first details about their new tuning program for the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4.
Dubbed the LP760-2, the model is a rear-wheel drive supercar that has been stripped of its front differential and related components. Thanks to this change, Oakley estimates the car will lose approximately 85 kilograms (187 pounds).
Besides the strict diet, the 6.5-liter V12 engine has been equipped with an optimized ECU. Official specifications haven't been announced, but the company is targeting an output of 760 hp (567 kW / 771 PS) and 745 Nm (550 lb-ft) of torque - an increase of 70 hp (52 kW / 71 PS) and 55 Nm (41 lb-ft).
On the styling front, the car will be distinguished by modified bumpers, revised side skirts, and a new rear diffuser. Other highlights include a carbon fiber roof and lightweight alloy wheels with Pirelli PZero tires.
No word on pricing, but production will be limited to five units and three have already been sold.

Already?! Tinkering with the Aventador starts!

RWD only will make this a beast to drive! Looks epic!

*Sigh*

When is Jezza going to compare this and the 'normal/standard' one?

re: Professionally Modified Supercars

Here is a very tastefully done BMW M3 that has been more than 'just' souped up. It's owned and driven by a huge car enthusiast from the US, I think. (I've attached a few photos of his other cars in his collection).

The photos are in chronological order.

re: Professionally Modified Supercars

Suhaas, you've been browsing the IND website a lot these days huh Terrific looking M3 that one! What a brilliant paint job! And the 520 bhp M3 would surely beat the likes of the 458, 911 and LP650 too. This guy's got some serious collection. Great taste of cars. I don't see a Porsche though in his garage

Actually been browsing the M3post and M3blog websites. Been having wet dreams about M3s off late!

Yup! Got plenty of pictures of his collection. Oh, and he does have a Porsche. A 911-997 Mark-II Turbo S, actually

But here are some more pictures and a video of his M3 at the Bimmerfest and at a drag-event. Not to mention, some more pictures of his other cars at the event.

I so wish Jezza does the Aventador film, off-late, many hypercars are filmed with either May or Hammond. For example, the LP 670-4 SV, McLaren vs. Veyron, Zondas were all done by Hammond and May did they Veyron, Veyron SuperSport et all. I think the last best he did was the 458.

I'm head over heels in love with it In fact, I am in love with everything Lamborghini, to the nuts and pieces, to the gloves, to Valentino Balboni and Stephan Winkelmann (Oops, hope I didn't sound gay there). I wanna name my children Diablo, Murcielago, Countach, I hope "The Girl" is not reading this or I'm dead meat

Re: Oakley Lamborghini Aventador "LP760-2"

Wow, i thought it would be finished with the Valentino Balboni.
But seems that Lambo is keen to keep the spirit alive with this unlike bending under the pressure of the parent company.
EDIT: Duh!!! missed the Oakley bit.

re: Professionally Modified Supercars

That M3 is such an awe inspiring machine! Love everything on it, the paint job, the wheels, the ESS supercharger, the power on disposal! And then, everything is almost ruined by M-DCT! Gawd, manuals are becoming rarer day by day!
