Shelby Daytona Coupe Le Mans Edition

Source:Topspeed

In 1965 the most prestigious racecar in the world, was a fastback version of Carroll Shelby’s Cobra. Designed by Peter Brock, the Shelby Daytona Coupe was the latest offering from the American racing driver and was also responsible for winning the 24 Hours of Lemans, and ultimately the World Manufacturer’s Championship that same year.

In order to celebrate this historic automobile, Shelby is unveiling a special edition: the Shelby Daytona Coupe Le Mans Edition. The car is powered by a 530 HP V8, and there will even be a racing version with 560 HP. The special editions come with modern touches like 18 inch wheels and tires, suede Momo racing steering wheel, Alcantara seats with "Le Mans Edition" embroidery, "Le Mans Edition" gauges with a 200 mph speedometer and a tachometer that goes up to 10,000 RPM

Wasn't this auctioned very recently? Or was that a different car?

IMSA Murcielago LP-640

An exclusive bodykit for the Lamborghini Murcielago LP-640 has been introduced by a lesser known tuning house in Germany called IMSA.

IMSA decided to not mess with the already mind-staggering engine of the LP-640. Instead, they decided to mess with the body work so that they could reduce drag etc. at high speeds. This body kit is made entirely from Autoklav moulded carbon fibre. It is available in both normal carbon fibre colour or in an array of custom paint options. IMSA have added wider wheel arches, a new front spoiler, and Imsa CFK air ducts that help in reducing drag at higher speeds. Side-skirts direct underside airflow into a new diffuser, which works with a custom rear spoiler to further improve aerodynamics.

IMSA Gallardo LP560-4

While they were at this, IMSA had some left over carbon fibre and didn't know what to do with it. Then someone had a bright idea of introducing the Gallardo LP560 GTV (which is what they call their body kits), and they decided to use all that carbon fibre on this instead.

From now on, the well-proven IMSA Challenge lightweight central locking rim can be ordered and fi tted to the new Gallardo. Not only does the Challenge wheel offer a perfect visual impression, but with its equipment’s properties it is also capable of convincing professional and sportsmanlike drivers – especially if combined with the IMSA sports chassis which is adjustable in height and intensity.
With the stainless steel exhaust system, IMSA presents yet another highlight. The visual attraction at the LP 560’s rear end coddles the driver with acoustic delights and, by the way, increases the performance by 24hp – electronic adjustment inclusive.
A rear spoiler made of high-quality carbon fi bre is the crown of functionality and design on top of the package so far available for the LP 560. This package should convince you even by now and will certainly inspire quite a number of Gallardo owners to make a pilgrimage to the holy halls of IMSA.

IMSA Gallardo GTV

However, the car that led to the other two is this: The IMSA Gallardo GTV. This was their first car and first came out a couple of years ago. Only this time, they messed with the engine too.

IMSA tuned it to pump out 610 BHP at 7900 RPM and also increased the torque to 655Nm at 5300 rpm. To cope with this, they adjusted the Gallardo's four wheel drive system and added a sports chassis. This apparently increases stability and handling. They also offer a set of twin spoke alloys on 245/30 ZR 20 (front) and 325/25 ZR20 (rear) tyres. A central locking system is offered with the tyres as is a fully adjustable sports suspension. Spoilers are added everywhere as are wheel arches etc. Interior options include alacantra, aluminium, carbon fibre etc.

HAMANN tuned 2009 7 series.

Source:TopCarZone

Aerodynamics have been beefed up and the mods consists of:
a new front skirt with integrated LED daytime running lights, new roof and rear spoilers, side skirts and four round 90mm stainless steel exhaust pipes.

HAMANN has also upped the power for the 730d diesel model and given it a healthy 33kW/45Hp boost which takes it to a total of 290HP.

The ride is improved by adding four progressively coiled chassis springs and grip is in the form of 265/30ZR22 tires up front and 295/25ZR22 in the rear. For those customers that don’t want to go that extreme, there is a choice if rim sizes ranging from 19 to 22 inches.

In addition to the existing, serial interior equipment, HAMANN accessories have made first-class aluminum pedals and foot-rests that form a perfect match for the embroidered HAMANN floor mat set.
