re: Professionally Modified Supercars

Was that bugatti also undergoing some mod? Where is the scope in something thats by default in 4-figs in bhp and torques... btw awesome looking alloys on it.

Gorgeous looking M3, he must've spent fortune in coming up with that monster.

re: Professionally Modified Supercars

Time to revive a thread that seems to have gone completely dead.

And what better way to jump-start it, than with a Ferrari!

Here we have the Ferrari 458 Spyder Monaco Edition by popular tuning firm Mansory.

Apart from an ECU, intake and exhaust job, it's pretty much stock underneath. But Mansory has gone the whole hog in the styling and design department. Borrowing cues from the Enzo like the F1 inspired nose-cone (which I must add, it looks very well executed) the Monaco Edition looks pretty good. I would personally rip-off the excess carbon fiber bits up front and give the LED lights on the bumper a miss too. But the rest of it looks spectacular, I must admit

All the modifications on the outside have ensured that the car weights a whole lot lesser now.

Expect performance figures like 0-100 km/h in around 3 seconds and a top speed of in excess of 200.

Only 3 will be made though, which is a bummer. As is always with any limited edition supercar.

That is probably the only Mansory vehicle that doesn't make you want to gouge your eyes out. That said, the Italia is beautiful just the way it is and I wouldn;t want to do anything with the aesthetics of the vehicle. This is just a personal opinion and not meant to spark a debate.

re: Professionally Modified Supercars

Keeping in tune with the 458 Spyder theme of this page, here's something that caught my eye. The modifications have been carried out by "Wheelsandmore" and they are calling it "Perfetto", which translates to "perfect" in Italian. Here's what they did:

The German tuner went to serious lengths to give the Italian supercar some serious modifications. On the outside, Wheelsandmore fitted the 458 Italia Spider with a plethora of new carbon fiber components on the rear diffuser, the fuel cap, the rear fog lamp frames, mirrors and spoiler fins. On top of that, the supercar’s interior, trunk and engine compartment were all refined, thanks to new side panels, a custom-fit trunk tray, and a final panel for the rear window trim. Even the wheel well and the entire lower floor can be refined to replace the autoclave produced high-performance carbon-fiber components with a matte finish. The addition of all these carbon fiber components resulted in a reduced weight of 30 kg. Rounding out the aesthetic upgrades are a new set of 21" 6Sporz ² forged rims wrapped in Hankook tires.

Sounds pretty ’perfetto’ to us.

For the performance upgrade, Wheelsandmore took the 458 Italia’s 4.5-liter V8 engine and added plenty of new modifications, including its newly developed Carbonairbox. Add in the installation of manifolds, the addition of a flip-controlled exhaust system, and software optimization, and you have an increased output of 647 horsepower and 468 lb/ft of torque, a drastic improvement from the standard model’s 570 horsepower and 400 lb/ft of torque numbers.

The Volkswagen Golf Design Vision GTI is a one-of-a-kind superhatch, which has more than double the power of a standard Golf GTI.

With a top speed of 186mph, it is on a par with some of the world’s fastest supercars.

Happened to read a while back about this Ferrari 458 Spider tuned to a whopping 738hp. What I liked best about it was the engine bay - looks almost stock, unlike TwinTurbo mods. Kudos to John Hennessey for creating custom CF parts that fit seamlessly into the engine bay. Here's the article on Jalopnik - http://jalopnik.com/hennesseys-twin-...ing-1118069141

Only a couple of cars in this list are professionally modified and belong to this thread. The rest are untouched and in factory-guise.

The Limited-Edition (only *1*) Ferrari 458 from Dutch designer Ugur Sahin

A Dutch design firm has announced plans to build a limited edition version of the Ferrari 458 Italia. And when we mean limited edition, we mean, erm, one. And it'll look like the pictures below.

It's the design work of Ugur Sahin, based in the Netherlands, who confirmed to TopGear.com that they've been contacted by ‘several interested clients' looking to make this, the ‘Project F' render, a one-off reality.

Re: The Limited-Edition (only *1*) Ferrari 458 from Dutch designer Ugur Sahin

Doesn't this look like a big mistake?

I am not sure if its only me, but if I had the money to splurge on this car, I would probably buy it to destroy it!
