This looks more of a fastback than a sedan. I guess this will have some sort of a pop up spoiler or a whale-tail

Well looks weird with all the camoflague & sharing of the Porsche parts bin. Will wait for proper pics before taking a definitive view of the car.

hehe doesnt look too bad imo. but the back doesnt looks as streamlined or sleek as some other cars since i guess they concentrated a bit on boot space and head room for the rear passengers

Porsche Panamera!

Hi,
I came across an article in The Telegraph about Porsche's sedan plan in India. The articles says Porsche plans to launch Panamera in 2009. They also intend to expand their dealership presence in Bangalore, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai and Calcutta.Panamera will compete with Merc S class, Merc CLS and Maserati Quattroporte. More info at

the panamera looks really wild. man i would like to see the car in person though to make a full fledged judgement of the car. any idea what engine are they useing turbo or a non turbo. it has a very close resemblance to the cayanne. like the cayanne body has replaced the 911 body.

Isn't it closer to Cayman and 911 than Cayenne?

the pictures make it look like a cayanne touching the floor. now if i use my imagination then a 911 extended. not a cayman for sure. 911 on steroids

Well i feel the rear doors look out of place in the otherwise sleek profile

Does not look all that nice, but not bad, Porsche also joins the party of High End Saloon cars now, I prefer the Maserati quattroporte any day over this in the looks department, however this is a porsche,
so it will be neat in the interior and performance.

Looks pretty okay. a subtle rear seats door which blends in. Design apart, Porsche needs to work on its naming conventions. Panemera to me sounds like some war ridden poor country.
