Re: The 2017 MotoGP Thread

FP1 in Argentina: Vinales is fastest yet again! He leads Petrucci by 2 tenths of a second. What should be worrying for rest of the grid is that he set his fastest time with a hard rear tyre. All others set it with either soft or medium. Marquez, Lorenzo, Rossi are all out of top 10. Zarco and Folger impress once again in 3rd and 4th. I know it's just FP1, but looks like Vinales will be tough to beat.

Marquez maintains a perfect record! Makes perfect use of rainy qualifying and starts for race tomorrow from pole. Karel Abraham starts second with Crutchlow third.

Both Honda's out, both Ducati's out ! All Vinales needs to do is keep bike on track.

Re: The 2017 MotoGP Thread

Excellent nerve wrecking race last night. Nightmares for Ducatis again with Lorenzo crashing at very first corner and Dovizioso taken out like a bowling alley.

Both Honda's crashed at the same corner which leaves a strong question of tyre selection. Honda's were running on Hard Front where both Yamaha's had Medium.

Once Vinyalez took the lead, there was no looking back. Rossi overtook Crutchlow to take second position and third positions respectively.

Excellent race for the Aspar rider Bautista coming in at forth and Debutant to the premium class this season Johann Zarco Yamaha Tech 3 finishing at fifth position.

Cheers,
Amey

Re: The 2017 MotoGP Thread

What a ride by the Yamahas!! Vale from 7th, was it, on the grid!
However, does anyone see future friction at the team? A similar one to the one before?

Only time will tell Mayank. When two who are really good at same thing go head to head, anything is possible

But for now all seem to be hunky dory ! (see the article below)

No idea about the future, but their current relations look good.
Watch their selfie celebrations after the race.

This is such an awesome video! Rossi moved his right hand away just in time to catch Vinales waving at the camera. Perfect framing of the moment. Dorna video director would be over the moon with this unexpected bonus clip.

Re: The 2017 MotoGP Thread

News from the Spanish press mentions that Ducati might already be thinking of asking Lorenzo to move out from Ducati after seeing his struggles.

Source : MotorBike Fans

This might be more of a baseless rumor seeing that there will be lot of news like this. But it indeed shows how much troubling it is for him to adjust to the bike. Even Rossi struggled when he was with the Ducati team. Well the season is just started and hope that this rumor is just that!

Re: The 2017 MotoGP Thread

You can check it at this link

http://tv.burrp.com/channel/Ten%202/...-22%2000:00:00

Qualifying starts at 11:00 PM today with Moto3. By the time Moto3, Moto2 and FP4 of Motogp is done, it should be around 1:30 AM for the Motogp QP.

Maverick is flying and looks like he can be the first person to topple Marquez and take victory at COTA. If he does, then we can consider that 2017 motogp championship is more or less decided. It's just third race in a long season but the form of Vinales is at such a high level that we might as well draw conclusions. If Marc cannot stop him here, he cannot stop him anywhere else.

The 2017 MotoGP Thread

What a ride by Rossi! Marquez remains king of COTA but Rossi, master of Sunday now leads the world championship! Vinales dream run comes to an end and he loses precious championship points. This will be a hard pill for him to swallow. Solid rides by Pedrosa and Crutchlow too
