Tactical blunder or the smartest thing they have ever done? Merc won't make a fool of themselves now, this now seems very, very smart on strategy.

Lewis is quick but Max is literally a sitting duck right now, quite a lot of downforce loss for sure.

I have a hunch that by end of today’s race Mercedes will have an answer for seat 2.
Bottas took out 2 redbulls, man I would love to hear the conspiracy of how it was deliberate.
I really feel bad for redbull, both of their drivers were looking focused and determined to give it back to the Mercedes.
We got robbed of some really good racing cause of the incident.
Now all I want is Vettel and Alonso on podium (wishful thinking).
Before I end this comment, I would like to say DAMN THE MERCEDES.

Poetic justice for Red Bull and Verstappen? It is not looking all that bad for Hamilton at the moment. Only time will tell.

Unprecedented scenes! This reminds me of the infamous 2005 Indianapolis grand prix. Pre-race tyre fiasco meant only six cars lined up on the starting grid back then.

Wow what a race and what a dream come true moment for Ocon. Hamilton superb drive and that battle with Alonso - what a defense by the grand old man - that gave Alpine the victory. Absolutely brilliant race.

What a brilliant brilliant brilliant race. Cannot believe my eyes.

A great drive by Ocon, Vettel and Hamilton.
It was one of the most exciting F1 races I have ever seen. I was at the edge of the seat for majority of the race.

What a defense by Alonso, loved the tussle between Lewis and Alonso. Alonso really helped a lot in setting up Ocon's win.

Ocon really deserved this win, kept his nose clean and kept the 4 time champion Vettel behind and did not make a single mistake there. A wll deserved win.

In the end, Lewis was just 0.6 behind Vettel, if Alonso hadn't kept Lewis behind, he could have won easily.

So happy to see a new race winner and Alpine taking their first win as a constructor.

What a drive under pressure from Ocon with a chasing multi-time champion virtually all race, and what a tail-gunner act from Fernando near the end. Those laps he held off Hamilton sealed it for Alpine.

Any other two drivers, I'm inclined to think it would've ended in tears. The Hamilton-Alonso battle we've waited for a decade, and what a privilege to watch.

For me, the winner was Alonso. That's it. What a guy, what a drive, and what a racer!
