What happens to the tires already there on the car do i need to just throw them away? I have heard about exchanges and all that. If I do need to exchange then how much should i expect?

You can exchange them. If you wish to get maximum value for them, go straight to the tirewallah from the showroom. Don't expect much returns though.

Shyam,
You can get over 1800 per tyre and 100 for the rim. You can negotiate further.

Regarding upsizing, i would suggest you to go for 195/55-15. You will have decent ride quality and fantastic grip.
FYI my getz is running on 205/50-15.

I didnt sell the rims and the tires. I keep it so that while selling , i will fit the stock rims and tires and keep the alloys with me.

Hey djay yours is a passion red right. I think i have seen it somewhere near bel road. So you think 195 is a good bet. Also tell me why you went in for the 205.

Cheers.

Check djay99's avatar pics. Looks like silver to me. :D

195s are fine. No need to get 205.

195/60-14 or 195/55-15 would work perfectly fine.

Aah that is right. :) My bad. Sorry!

What brand do you recommend. Checked out the lenzo 4 spoke 15' liked it so will be going in for that. Now I want to know the tire brand that I need to go in for :) . Should it be bridgestone or michelin or yoko. Are there other brands as well.

Cheers.

Hey thanks iraghava. I have heard yokos give a lot of tire noise is that true?

195/55-15 is best for Getz. Go for Yokohama S drives.
Initially i had 195/60-14 Michelin PP1 and i was getting some noise. So i changed to 15" as we had tested on my friends car.

Yoko ES series tires were noisy. S drives are much better.

Probably getting the vehicle :) cant wait. If vita M available then going in for the alloys and tires right away. Decided on 15' Lenzo and yoko S drive(195/55/R15) :D . Cant wait till the morow. Meet all of you in the ownership thread that i am going to be starting tomorrow (that is if the vehicle is delivered.)

Cheers and thnx for all the confimando and the advices.

@shyams,
All the best.

Thanks mate. :)

Hey guys I heard for the sales man from trident that the warranty for the suspension is void if the rim size is upgraded to 15'. Is that true?
Awaiting the replies to this.
Cheers

Depends entirely on your relationship with the service centre/dealership. Have an independent chat with the Service Manager of Trident (he has much more say in warranty issues then the salesman) and then see what to do about it.

@undead : bad idea. Rubber degrades with time (read up the posts we have reg this).

I would think twice about any tyre that's just sitting there for even one year.
