Hey guys I heard for the sales man from trident that the warranty for the suspension is void if the rim size is upgraded to 15'. Is that true?
Awaiting the replies to this.
Cheers

There will not be any issues wrt warranty if you upgrade to 15". Hyundai said a maximum width of 195 will be allowed. A senior service manager of Advaith Hyundai ORR confirmed.

I get my car serviced from Trident Kanakapura road. I used to get noise from rear suspension and they worked on the issue twice and solved it. Never they said that the problem is because of 15 inchers.

I would think twice about any tyre that's just sitting there for even one year.

You would . But people in my town dont have any idea about tire life . :D

Hey guys,
Got the vehicle :). Head over to the owner ship review threads and read my review. Awaiting the responses from all of you.

Cheers :D

Hi guys,

Today fitted the EBC Ultimax brake pads. Costed Rs.4450 .
Braking efficiency has improved than stock brake pads. In lower speeds like 50 - 70 kmph , i can say it has improved around 40% more than the stock pads. But i case of 100-120 kmph speed, there is only a slight significance . May be , it will get better after some 100 - 150 kms . They requested me , not to involve in hard braking till some 100 kms .. If i could find some better pads for rear , the overall braking might improve..

If you are interested in a better performance , then you have to go for EBC Green Pads which costs Rs.9200 here. But they say , it will be more efficient only when fitted along with better rotors.

Rears are drums Undead so no pads, only shoes.

Get the EBC Green stuff which are the upgrade quality pads. Ultimax is stock replacement pads.
Btw, what is the part number of the getz pads?

Dont know the part number. Failed to note it.
I wouldnt recommend this , unless the rear brakes are upgraded. The shop guy's friend fitted EBC Green pads for this City , he says fitting this pad disturbs the balance between front and rear . Also , those are ceramic pads and they damage the stock rotors . If installing EBC Green , you must upgrade the rotors too.

Hey undead what is the fuel efficiency you are getting in the vehicle? I seem to be getting only 13 average in Bangalore city. Somehow feel it is low.

Mine is not a big city . Its a very small town named Bhavani Komarapalayam ,on the Salem - Coimbatore (NH 47). There are no traffic signals in my town as the traffic flow is steady.
I got 20 kmpl fuel efficiency on 80 kmph speed on highways with AC OFF most of the time. Shift at the right gears . Always keep engine running between 2000 - 2500 rpm. Dont drive 60kmph speed in 5th gear. I usually shift to 5th after touching 80kmph , else i get slight burr sound from the engine.

So 2000-2500 you say. Ok i shall try that. But about this brrr sound it happens even at low rev ranges right? Hey is it a problem to drive it at low rpms at higher gears i mean at about 60KMPH in the 5th?

Hey undead have done the mods -> silencer, brake mods?

The dealer says that the exhaust mods wont suit the Diesel cars(i mean the sound wont be that great as in the petrol cars)... Right now , i have ordered LED lights for Door Handles . Its on the way , i will install them in 2 days and put the pics.

I wonder why anyone would want to change the exhaust.
Just enjoy the silent killer. :D
