I have not, I got 175 Bridgestone S250 I think, they are quite nice and I will drive on these for a few months at least. Will get alloys later only. It is not that bad, though wider would help ( 185 should suffice )

I do plan to put ICE really soon, maybe next month or so. JVC DVD In Dash and some components and Amp I think. Nothing really loud. Tints are much needed though.

Your choice of car is sterling and wish you a very long and satisfactory "relationship" with your white rocket !
Thanks mate, Will do so really soon. But for now stock ones are not that bad. And I really do not rip the car.

Of course, watch this thread from this sunday onwards. Verna is a great choice.

Thanks Siraj, Yes I know ABS does wonders to the braking, but trust me, the non ABS brakes are also really very good.

Cheers !! Varun

Congrats Vkochar. Its a rocket as we all know.

PS: I am in no mood to spoil your joy, but dont you think that ABS was required. Any way go for wider rubber and then the braking would surely improve.

Enjoy and Drive safe !

Thanks aaggoswami - I know, I have been bashed quite a lot for not getting the ABS version, BUT I do not know why such a huge fuss !!! The car's braking is really very good. I tested it on the AGra - Delhi highway when coming back yesterday and it was really good.

And I have been driving cars long enough now to know what good braking is. I know ABS will only improve things, but not getting ABS is really not Disastrous as many people make out here

Yes, I definetely plan to go for an upsize later, but at this stage I am going to run the stock tires. Cheers !!

@vkochar, I think that I have send you the link of the thread where in I have clearly mentioned that our Baleno crash could have been avoided if it had ABS.
Not having ABS is not always disatrous, but then it can lead to damage.

Any ways, its your choice.

And I am sure that the braking is good ( as you have pointed out along with other ) and with new tyres ( though after a few months ) the braking will further improve.

Congratulations Varun,

I was wondering how you didnt start a thread yet since I remember your delivery was on Sunday. Anyways nice to see the car here. White looks great but I think you need rubber upgrade soon. Have fun with White rocket and I'm waiting for the detailed review.

Thanks Deepankar & Maddy !! Yes, I have not driven my Verna in the last 2 days !! Can you beleive that ?? I am driving my Accent nowadays.

Will be going to Delhi tommorrow morning and back so will have driven another 500 kms or so by that time. Will know more about the Rocket by then.

BTW - one question for Verna owners or in general - how much should I keep the RPM & Top speed before the first service ?

You should follow the owners manual - nothing there on running-in?

Hey vkochar,

Congrats on the new beast. Will be waiting for your review on the car as am planning for a replacement soon, petrol prices are killing !!!

Enjoy her to the fullest. BTW i think you should usually not go above 2500 RPM in a new car till the first service and 3500 RPM till second service.

Correct me if im wrong, dunno about the top speed tough. Our gurus might be able to help you out on that one.

Cheers !!! cheers:

Congrats vkochar. Upgrade the tires and enjoy the power of the beast.

How come the car does not have wheel covers?
Did hyundai stop providing wheel covers on base models even though you paid close to 8 lacs
