So Guys, here goes the "Full Review" of the Mahindra Xylo E6 (Without Ski Racks)

Why Xylo or for that matter any other MUV?
It was almost 1 year since I had sent the Innova back to my uncle who was planning to sell it and I brought it to Delhi from Ambala for a long test drive (it lasted for almost 6 months). We drove it from deserts of Rajasthan to the Mountains, the likes of Badrinath to Gangotri, when we finally sent it back. We had almost decided on to keep it when he required it for some project of his. Well, to cut the story short, I liked the Innova sans its GC and the space for the third row. Its cramped like anything and almost zero luggage space when you are traveling with a family of 5 Adults let alone the full capacity of 7 which its meant for.

Speculations, discussions followed and we somehow did'nt come across a vehicle which we 5 could travel comfortably with all our luggage. Although I was waiting for Mahindra Ingeneo all this while.

When finally it was unveiled as the Xylo in mid Jan 09, I read the reviews in auto mags and then on the TBHP. Was a bit occupied but wanted to take a TD. Enquired at all the dealerships but was told the Vehicle hasn't arrived yet even after a week since it was launched. Applied for a loan and got an instant approval, getting the rest of the formalities done for the delivery was a different story altogether.

To be continued.....

Congratulations on your Xylo Vinay. A first on the forum. The Xylo seems to fit your requirements well. Though I am not a fan of its looks, I guess it grows on you with time. You might want to add better rubber and a set of nice alloys. I should suit the colour of your car well. Which model is E6 exactly? Is it one below the top end variant? What is the difference?

Happy Motoring

Congrats!

Congratulations Vinay. Xylo is a wonderful machine at the price it is being sold at. I am seeing a lot of Xlyo's in Mumbai now. So, M&M's efforts have paid off it seems.

Congratulations Vinay !

The car is a real VFM, the particular colour really looks good on XYLO.

BTW what are the initial FE figures like?

This is not fair. You give a teaser last night saying you are going to write the review next. I see this morning you have indeed put up a post called "Full Review" but it follows with a "To be continued..." after 2 paragraphs :(

Take some time off and write about all the questions asked by fellow BHPians. Am anxious read the 1st hand report from the user esp since you have used it for 1400 kms already.

And, Congrats from my side on your Xylo buy
