Jimmy :- There's no problem if they can get stock from some other dealer as there is a chance of some unsold stock lying with some dealers.

I'll take some pics of the rear and boot as asked for.

Additional changes made.

1) 3M sunfilm. Now there is a bit of privacy in the car.
2) Headlights changed to Osram Nightbreakers 60/55 W H4 socket. I opted for same rating as stock. There was no need for any cut-out wiring to accomodate the new lights. Lights have now improved by leaps and bounds.

Small issue has cropped up. At idle speed i.e 900 rpm there is a slight rattle heard from the front left side. This vanishes as soon as I start moving the car. This is a very irritating sound specially in city driving as this rpm is reached very frequently.

Has anyone faced something similar? If so, what was the solution for this?

Try this first: from a dead stop, move forward say up to the 3rd gear, slow down with the brakes, clutch completely so that the engine is idling- then move forward.

Then this: from a dead stop, move forward say up to the 3rd gear, slow down but DO NOT APPLY the brakes, clutch completely so that the engine is idling- then move forward.

If you get the sound in the first but not the second, its the brake calipers. I had this in my front right (and now I feel it is there in the front left too). HSC removed my front wheel, removed the calipers, taped on the hinges that holds the calipers and fitted it- and the sound was gone on that side...

It costed me Rs 1500/- for a pair. Its a simple DIY and straight fit to stock holders. Lighting is far far better than stock ones.

Will try it out today itself and notice the behaviour.

Sold it... was high time for a change. It wasn't comfortable for long drives which has become my primary requirement with a car. Anything in the city is for my Karizma to handle.

Not to mention that I'm still game for rides

Phoenix- I tried both the methods and the rattling comes either when the rpm reaches 900 or below. Idle is at 800 rpm or so I think.

I will get the brake calipers checked as well during my first service.
