re: VW Polo 1.6 MPI - Ownership Report EDIT: 1,30,000 km up!

Those are beautiful bucket seats. Love the color!! What are you doing with the rear seats? The alloys are looking fab! Now you just need to get the VW sports body kit to complete the whole sporty exterior look

Also the smoked bi-focal headlamps. The make is Hella. Should be possible to find a source in Europe or in say South Africa.

Those bucket seats are looking awesome! and the maroon leather would go really well with the white exterior. I was wondering whether you are planning to paint the dashboard plastics which are in beige to maroon?

Also, how much did reupholstering the seats cost? Also, did you add any cushioning for lumbar support?

Very very Naiiiice BHAGWAN. Those fiber bits look yummy and the contrast colour scheme is a killer. The paint job, was it done inside the compound or outside? Hey, do post a picture of your alloys in the "Official show your alloys here thread too".

@ Bhagwan:

Your Polo deserves the 'Cup body-kit'! When are you going to consider that? And as for re-maps, you might want to check with Pete's. They might be of some help as they're good with VAG cars.

Ive suggested he go to Pete's many times for the suspension and break upgrade. There are enough European companies offering remaps taking the power to 117bhp.

But man, that work is top notch. Shafiq sure is good with his fibreglassing.

Where did that XKR wheel come from?

I dont think the Polo GTI has released hence the headlights aren't available.

Akshay, is remapping possible on the little 1.2 petrol also?

BTW, the Polo GTI has been launched . I know it's available in Australia at least.

Pete's is a great option for suspension components as well.

I agree. Shafiq has done a wonderful job with the fiberglassing. The seats look exceptional, and almost factory-spec! The choice of leather and shade is spot-on as well. A very good contrast to the white on the outside. Reminiscent of the white M3s with similar interiors.

I was wondering the same! Where did the XK-R wheel come from?

The 'seats' were finished & installed in the VW Polo 1.6 Petrol.
The car is on the 'street' ! Finally - 30 days in the 'pits' !

Some more pics;

These are of the Alloys - I have used an Olympus Camera - so the quality may be slightly better;

re: VW Polo 1.6 MPI - Ownership Report EDIT: 1,30,000 km up!

The interiors look transformed, thanks to those lovely custom seats and the beautiful upholstery. What are you going to do about the rear seats. They seem quite out of place now? Matching upholstery should fix that, somewhat.

The idea did cross my mind, however, I never sit behind, so why spend the extra 20K for material & labour ?
Besides, I am more than 'stretched' on this car - still need to spend on the Suspension / Brakes / Chip etc.
Those are more important to me - viz a viz the rear seats....

The seats are looking beautiful and the interiors have totally transformed. But, not doing the rear seats in the same leather looks very odd IMO. Think about it.

That looks like the XF-R to me Look at the headlamps.
